The God of the Fire Seed nodded immediately upon hearing this, agreeing with the Ashen Messenger's words, as there were indeed special flames that worked this way, such as the Flame of Civilization, whose source was an entire civilization, and civilizations do not self-immolate.
This fire was a physical manifestation of psychological consciousness, an emergent from the currents of thought, and profoundly symbolic. When faced with an unknowable enemy, the Flame of Civilization would incinerate the adversary from a higher dimensional space-time level.
