Many people will, at some point in their lives, suddenly yearn to travel back in time and slap their past selves across the face.
To harshly scold that idiotic version of themselves, telling them—don't you dare do this, you're going to ruin yourself.
They shouldn't have chosen the sciences they weren't good at, shouldn't have chosen that school, shouldn't have let that girl go so easily, shouldn't have suffered in silence at that company during the precious years of youth when they had other choices...
But that is the past.
A past that can no longer be returned to, a reality that has truly happened.
Choosing to trust one's past, to make peace with it, so that one no longer dwells on it and can move towards the future.
The future is full of possibilities, as long as one doesn't linger in the past, no longer hampered by its tug.
