Chu Ning didn't know what method Meng Sizeng used, but the steward in charge of the Red Sun Peak cave dwellings from the Land Deed Pavilion didn't ask Chu Ning anything, instead providing him with a map and letting him choose freely.
"Let's pick this one."
Chu Ning casually chose a location at the base of the mountain. This spot was inconspicuous and the surrounding cave dwellings were sparse, with the nearest one over ten miles away.
Meng Sizeng took Chu Ning to the cave dwelling he had picked, but they stopped at the entrance.
"Fellow Daoist Chu, I won't be going in. This cave dwelling has been vacant for decades."
"Thank you, Fellow Daoist Meng, for your help. Once I get the cave dwelling in order, I'll invite you over for a drink."
"No problem." Meng Sizeng nodded, prepared to leave, but his step faltered just as he was about to go.
"Is there something wrong, Fellow Daoist Meng?" Chu Ning asked, noticing Meng Sizeng's hesitation.
