Xiazhen Town.
Some homes had lights on, and whispers could be heard.
The townsfolk were not deaf to the screams outside, just as they were about to get up, they remembered what Master Chu had instructed.
A month ago, Master Chu had already educated them on what's called anti-bandit drills.
It involved constables dressing up as wickedly fierce bandits or robbers raiding homes, stealthily infiltrating the town, and then being subdued by Master Chu along with some other constables.
The purpose of the drill was to ensure no harm came to the townsfolk, and for them to stay out of harm's way, they simply needed to remain in their rooms and not come out upon hearing any commotion.
Although some townsfolk felt that staying in their rooms and not coming out felt somewhat amiss, Master Chu now held the highest authority in Xiazhen Town.
Whatever Master Chu said went, and anyone who dared not listen to Master Chu would be verbally crucified by the town's women with their biting words.
