Upon hearing this, the Mad King was initially dumbstruck, and then he burst into a hearty yet helpless laugh.
He was genuinely amused but couldn't fault Heine for his naivety, hence he responded like so.
After he had laughed enough, he slowly began to speak:
"Setting aside whether you can achieve that, what's the reason? If, as you initially said, this era built on the ruins of the empire represents a new order, then I stand against everyone. Why would you want to take someone like me away?"
Heine: "On one hand, it is to save you; on the other, allowing the knowledge of the Old Empire to be buried by the sands of history would be truly standing against everyone.
