Ganmu snatched the vine from the hands of the elf elder and tore it into two.
Then a solid slap landed squarely on the other's face.
"And another thing, don't curse at children!"
The elf was stupefied by the slap and jumped up and down, cursing:
"Do you know who I am? I'm his teacher! I have the right to educate him!"
Ganmu said gruffly, "You're not educating; you're cursing at him! And so harshly!"
The old man snapped, "This is how you deal with a fool; to make him think!"
Ganmu retorted, "It's not because he's foolish that you're scolding him, it's because you're in a bad mood and want to vent! I can tell. You only hit and scold the child because he won't fight back. Why don't you scold me? Go on, try scolding me!"
The elder immediately cursed, "You lowly—"
Slap!
The elder's frail body spun in the air before landing on the ground.
Clearly infuriated by the slap, he protested: "Why are you hitting me?"
"You've already cursed at me, and you won't allow me to hit you?"
