On getting to my mother's place, I met her outside watering the flowers. She looked much better and full of vitality. I was very happy to see her. She had broken down after my father's death and I was worried that she would never recover from my father's death.
Looking at her like this brought back so many memories. There was a time when I had no care in the world and only wanted to snuggle close to my mother every night. I had grown up fast after my father's death as the responsibilities placed on me needed me to evolve and become a man.
It also made me this way, cold, cruel, and heartless. But that is what the pack needed. It needed a firm Alpha, one who was tough and decisive in making decisions. One who showed no sign of weakness and only strength.
