Chapter 40 - Chapter 39

Ron felt weird, it had been a while since he had been with his mother for so long, for the last few years, he only came for a week or so back home with his uncle twice a year and then went back to the North Tower and those were the years he had grown up. But even then he hadn't thought he would be in this situation, his mother probably thought this would help them get closer and open him up to her.

He opened his eyes and looked at her maybe he should start a conversation.

"So you know Marty from your academy years?" he asked.

"Yes, Marty was in our class, it was a good bunch of people, just some stuck-ups like Michael, and of course the crazy ones like Nefar, but it was the best few years of my life," she said.

"I didn't know Derek was in your class too, i thought he was older than you and a little bit of a mentor to you," said Ron.

"Yes he is older and was already at the academy when I arrived, and he did teach me a lot, but he went away for a couple of years for some reason and then returned and continued from where he had left, being in the same class doesn't mean you were all the same age, me and Marty were the youngest in our class, he was even more energetic then and always landed himself and others in trouble," she said.

"All right let's get out of here, we should take a quick nap in our room before things get crazy and I have a feeling they might," she said and started to stand up from the water. Ron was too mesmerized to look away as Isanna's naked body came out of the warm water, It was the first time Ron had seen a naked woman and it happened to be Isanna, his body didn't care about it though, and reacted accordingly. He couldn't take his eyes off her breasts, they were big and perky. He was just gawking at the hot display with his mouth open.

"Come on, what are you waiting for?" she asked looking down at him, he wondered what she was thinking by doing that. But she must know that he was a grown man now. Ron stood up from the water too, his hard-on pointing right at her. She might have glanced at it he couldn't tell his eyes were fixed somewhere else. She turned and stepped out of the tub, Ron followed, she picked up a towel and started drying herself, Ron waited then did the same, then she wrapped herself and exited the bath. Ron made himself modest and followed quickly, he fortunately didn't meet anyone on the way to the room and entered and quickly closed the door behind him. Isanna was just taking off her towel and getting into her clothes, Ron didn't shy away from catching a few glances and changed too.

"Good, that's what I was talking about, you can't be hesitating and flustered all the time, it doesn't suit a man, do what you have to do, there are more important things to worry about than clothes," she said finally and got in her hammock.

Ron still was kind of pissed off at her, it wasn't the same for him and he still thought she shouldn't be so frank as his mother. He got in his hammock, hiding his still hard member and trying to will it to go down.

He woke up about two hours later, the small oval glass window which anyway didn't let much light in was even darker there was a lamp lit in the room. Isanna wasn't in the room, she had dressed and left some time ago.

Ron dressed quickly to go up the deck and see if they were leaving yet, he first went to check on Fiona, she wasn't in her room either they must be up then. He took the stairs and came out onto the deck, the sky had taken a darker shade of blue now, the sun was completely gone and it was a bit cloudy now, the wind had picked up and the sails of the ship were stretched wide in the wind, the waves hitting the ship were bigger and stronger now making it sway even more.

He saw the group all standing by the deck near the rim looking over at the dock, Rin was perched on the railing her tail swaying, and Fiona, Isanna, and Derek were standing by looking at something. Ron approached them by the railing.

"We are ready to leave, Marty's just filling the last paperwork with the dock authorities," said Fiona.

"Paperwork?" he inquired.

"Yeah, they have to inform beforehand, what kind of good they are carrying and where they are going, apparently smuggling illegal and stolen goods is a major crime here," said Fiona.

"And knowing Marty he probably has a big record in smuggling," said Isanna but it wasn't with enough dislike as Ron would have liked.

"But it is a crime though right?" said Ron.

"There are worse crimes like slavery, that people get away with," said Isanna.

"A crime is a crime, we have hired his whole boat, and I have instructed Marty to not do any of his usual work while we are onboard, or it might falter our mission," said Derek, and Ron was glad at least someone was thinking straight.

"Any sign of the assassins?" asked Ron.

"They will be here, they should have attacked by now they are waiting for something, which worries me even more," said Derek.

Marty climbed up the board then.

"it's all done, let's get out of here, the weather is changing rapidly, we should be in deeper waters before high tide," he said and started barking orders at his crew members, who started untying ropes and changing the direction of the mast.

"This weather couldn't be a work of a weather-type, can it, to slow us down?" asked Isanna to Derek.

"At this scale and this fast, they will have to be seriously powerful, this would require a lot of mana," said Derek.

Ash woke up to a noisy morning, the dorms were almost empty where he was sleeping but there was a lot of activity outside where everyone was preparing for another attack and the arrival of the reinforcements. Ash set out to find Maya, he found her in the office room she had mentioned along with Aria, Farin, Sarah, and Hailey.

"We have just managed to send a message to Ronin, apparently he had been traveling that's why we couldn't before, he needed to be in one place for the contact to work," said Aria.
