Chapter 3 - Miss Rose and The Broken City

Now, Rosu embarked on his journey, driven by a newfound purpose. "If Morchell has been reborn like me," he thought, "then I must find him as soon as possible, before anything bad happens."

Guided by this determination, Rosu navigated the unfamiliar streets of the city, his senses heightened, alert to any signs or clues that might lead him to Morchell's whereabouts. With each step, he felt a blend of anticipation and urgency.

Rosu searched every dark corner of the city but found neither a clue nor a sign of Morchell or the Mordants. Exhausted, he muttered, "This body is weaker than I thought. I need some rest," and sat down on a bench. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the city. As he admired the beauty around him, the reflection of the buildings and sunlight made him think the city wasn't so bad after all.

Just as he was enjoying this peaceful moment, a young woman approached and sat down beside him."Looks like you're new here," she remarked. Rosu, with his unusual accent, replied, "No, I'm not new here."

She chuckled softly. "Your accent gives it away. Not many newcomers reach this spot and enjoy the sunset." Rosu asked, "Are you a mind reader?" She laughed and replied, "No, actually, I'm a tourist guide. My job is to guide tourists like you and introduce them to the beautiful places of this city, what more could you want?"

Rosu, noticing her thoughtful expression, asked, "You seem lost in thought. Something on your mind?"

She sighed, "I've been thinking a lot about the changes in our city lately. It's just not the same anymore."

"What do you mean?" Rosu inquired."I think the city was more beautiful before Morpheus Enterprises came," she finally said.

"Oh, what do you mean?" Rosu asked.

"Don't you read the news or watch television? They're trying to buy up every corner of the city. Most people who own their homes are forced to sell to this company."

"Have they reached out to the police?" Rosu asked.

"What do you think? The police and authorities don't have the courage to stand up to the wealthy."

"You look upset. Did they try to buy your property too?"

"Unfortunately, yes. The community where I live was purchased by the company last week. Now I'm trying to adjust to living in a rented house."

"Well, life is a mixture of happiness and sadness," Rosu replied, trying to offer some comfort.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Rose. And you?"

"I'm Rosu," he said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, Rosu," Rose responded warmly. "We really had a good conversation today. Let's try to meet up another day. I have some important work to finish today."

After she left, Rosu was lost in deep thought. Could he help Rose with her situation? After all, he was a great warrior.
