"All Might, answer me, damn it!" Izuku demanded, not even realizing he had cussed as tears formed in his eyes. The former pro said nothing, staring at the ground, as if the tiles had become very interesting. Before he could think, he was on his feet, rushing through the halls. A minute later, he saw a door that had a clipboard on it, which read, Katsuki Bakugo. He pulled the door open, and what he saw actually made his legs give put, leaving him on his knees. Bakugo's eyes were open, and he had a mask covering his mouth and nose, with tubed sticking out from his stomach. "Kid, you can't just run out like that! You could hurt yourself-" All Might appeared in the doorway behind him, but his voice was a million miles away. Slowly, Izuku stood, and limped to Bakugo's side. Those red eyes followed him as he did. "I-Izuku..." What flashed through his mind made the tears fall and his body freeze up. He could picture Nighteye on the bed in front of him, using his last moments to see Mirio's future, and to assure him he'd become the finest hero the world had seen. Then he had left the world with a smile on his face. "Kacchan....I..." Suddenly, his throat closed up, and he couldn't say anything. Bakugo took a minute before speaking. "I-I want you to know..." He took some more breaths. "I'm s-sorry...for everything..." Izuku bent over hisneyes closed, even though it didn't stop the tears. "Don't go. Please. I can't lose you, too. No one can stand to see you gone. We've lost so many others already. Our friends-the rest of the class-they love you, Kacchan. They might not show it, but they really love you. The teachers love you. Your parents love you. You can't just..." He paused, gripping the beds railings so tight, his knuckles were white. "Please, Kacchan." His voice broke, but he didn't care. If he lost Bakugo, his childhood friend who had just apologized for everything he'd done twice now, he'd be losing a piece of himself.
