Chapter 2 - Echoes of a Disappearance

"How come everyone seems to ignore me whenever I want to ask a question about a small thing?"

Is what Aiman thought while looking annoyed at the moving cars besides the one he was in. He was not over the fact that he was ignored once but twice, he has so many questions that he wants to be answered but no one is willing to help. Or so he had thought, his brother, Ashton, was glancing at him with a worried expression in his eyes. Aiman looked over to him and asked him what's wrong.

"I have been wondering where you've could've been, since you're wet."

"Would you believe me if I said I was in a bathtub in the middle of nowhere?"

"Is there a reason for me to doubt you?"

"Touché."

Although he wasn't wrong, Aiman thought it was weird he has this lack of intelligence in himself. Who would believe their family member that went missing for more than 6 months that they've been in a bathtub in the middle of nowhere? It really just sounds like an odd excuse if you really think about it. A sigh escaped Aimans mouth before adding:

"I feel like I should head towards a hospital before heading home, I don't even remember who I am."

Ashton stared at him for a couple of seconds before nodding his head in agreement to his statement, the person who Aiman had asked for directions immediately took a different turn. This had shocked him a bit and grabbed onto Ashton arm to maintain balance, after he had noticed what he has done he let go off him with an awkward smile.

"Since you claim you don't remember me or him, I'll reintroduce myself and him. I am Ashton Frost, you're 23 year old brother. I am with just two years between the both of us, while that guy, Zyran Force, is 21 years old like you as well."

"…Very interesting and informative."

Aiman stared blankly at him, giving him the hint that nothing recalls to him about them. Tears started for form at the corner of his eyes, but he composed a serious face while Zyran couldn't help but sigh with dissatisfaction and relief at his reaction. Zyran wasn't surprised by Aiman not remembering them especially after he was missing for more than 6 months. If anything, he thought it was quite logical for him to feel that way.

"It's better this way."

Those words escaped his lips but Zyran couldn't help feel this annoyance within him.

While arriving at the hospital there were already many reporters waiting for them, eager for answers. This rubbed Aiman off in many ways, and his luck wasn't great either. The second they were parked in the parking spot, many reporters started rushing their way over to them.

"Just who are these people..!"

He muttered out, shocking Ashton and Zyran at the same moment.

"Do you honestly not remember yourself?" Zyran laughed out.

"Should I?"

"Well… You're a famous idol, I truly thought it wasn't that serious."

Zyran said while throwing an hoodie over at Aiman, he thanked him in a rather sarcastic manner before putting it on. He's luckily able to hide his face and expression in a way, if anyone had seen his pissed look right now they would think he's about to plan something devilish. Before he could leave the car Ashton put his hand into Aimans hands and took a deep breath before saying:

"Don't answer anyone before entering the hospital."

This shocked Aiman but followed his request, the second he opened the car door many people had to take a step back before actually believing he was alive again. Since everyone had thought he was supposed to be dead, no one took pictures and asked a question but looked at him with huge surprise. Some were in awe how well he looked while others couldn't help but whisper what had happened behind the scene. It was as if everyone forgot their job and before they even have realized anything, the three men were already inside with many nurses and doctors blocking their way of entering the hospital. As Aiman, Ashton, and Zyran navigated through the crowd of reporters and entered the hospital, the atmosphere shifted from chaotic to controlled. Nurses and doctors quickly surrounded them, ushering them through the corridors and into a private room away from the prying eyes of the media. A sense of relief washed over Aiman as he found himself in a more secure environment, away from the overwhelming attention. He couldn't shake the feeling of confusion about his own identity, but for now, being surrounded by familiar faces offered a sense of comfort amidst the uncertainty.

In the relative calm of the hospital room, Aiman sank into a chair, feeling the weight of his situation settling heavily on his shoulders. Ashton and Zyran exchanged concerned glances, understanding the magnitude of what Aiman was going through.

"We're here for you, Aiman," Ashton said softly, his voice filled with reassurance. "Whatever you need, we'll figure it out together."

Aiman nodded, grateful for his brother's support. Despite the chaos surrounding his sudden reappearance and amnesia, he felt a glimmer of hope knowing that he wasn't alone. Zyran chimed in, his tone gentle yet determined.

"We'll take it one step at a time," he said. "We'll help you piece together your memories, no matter how long it takes."

With a deep breath, Aiman nodded again, feeling a sense of determination building within him. Though the road ahead was uncertain, he knew he had his brother and friend by his side, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. As they settled in for what would undoubtedly be a long and emotional journey, Aiman couldn't help but feel a flicker of optimism amidst the confusion.

As the conversation unfolded, Zyran pulled out his phone with a mischievous glint in his eye. "But before we dive into all of that," he said, tapping on his phone screen, "there's something you need to see."

Aiman and Ashton leaned in, their curiosity piqued. Suddenly, the room was filled with the familiar sound of music as a video began to play. Aiman's eyes widened in surprise as he watched himself on the screen, performing on stage with a captivating presence. The song, his voice carrying a strange yet undeniable power, seemed to resonate with everyone who listened.

"That's... me?" Aiman uttered, his voice laced with disbelief.

Zyran nodded, but there was a flicker of suspicion in his eyes. "Yes, you. But it's strange, isn't it? You've been missing for six months, and suddenly you're back with a song tied to your name."

Aiman felt a pang of unease at Zyran's tone. He exchanged a glance with Ashton, who shared his concern.

"What are you trying to say, Zyran?" Ashton asked, his voice tinged with caution.

Zyran shrugged, but his gaze remained sharp. "Just seems too good to be true, doesn't it? One minute you're missing, and the next, you're a superstar. Something doesn't add up."

Aiman's heart sank as he realized the implications of Zyran's words. Could his sudden rise to fame be connected to his disappearance? Was there something more going on beneath the surface? As the video came to an end, Aiman sat in stunned silence, his mind racing with uncertainty. Amidst the whirlwind of emotions, there was a growing sense of dread, as he began to question everything he thought he knew about himself and the events that had led him to this moment.

"Are you even really Aiman Frost?"
