(ARLO)
I take a deep breath and collect my thoughts. "Well…I've been okay. Just the usual I guess, nausea, tiredness. They're all manageable though. It's just that I've been a little anxious lately. I just wanted to make sure that everything is going on alright with the baby."
Dr Nicholas nods with a sympathetic expression on his face. "I'm glad you came. You should have come in sooner, but it's still alright that you came in now. At this stage, it is perfectly normal if you feel a little anxious. Let's take a look and see how the little one is doing. Is that alright with you?" he says, motioning for me to lie on the examination table. He helps me to get comfortable before he begins the ultrasound process.
Since we entered this room, Miles hasn't said a word. Instead, he is watching us with a serious expression. The doctor greeted us both. I guess that Miles is just in one of his quiet moods. He merely acknowledged his arrival with a grunt.
