"You know I love you, Sasha. But I still think you were mean to me in the beginning."
"I probably was. I wasn't in love with you back then." I tug him closer then miss the tip of his nose. "But I love you now. I'll happily die protecting you. Does that make our beginning a moot point?"
He shrugs. "I guess."
"I mean, if I hadn't forced you to marry me to begin with, we wouldn't have fallen in love. So maybe the way I treated you back then was a good thing?"
"No, Sasha. There was nothing good about it. You terrified me."
"Alright."
Tyler can think what he wants. I can't feel sorry for the past when it's what brought him to me. I don't respond because I don't want to enrage him.
We are silent for a beat when I finally decide to address the elephant in the room. "So, what are you going to do about the baby?"
