Regulus pov:
Early in the morning, I started packing my things and making sure I had everything I needed.
List: Backpack for hiding GoB-Check
Clothes- Check
Money- Check
GoB-Check (lol)
I.D- Check
"Okay, that's everything. I guess it's time to leave," I murmured to myself. I was walking to the front door. *EHEM!* I pause and see my mother glaring at me. "Regulus, are you so grown you can't hug your poor mother goodbye?" I look at her sheepishly and say, "No mom." After giving her a hug and being reminded to send back letters every single day, she finally let me go while dad just stared amused.
The walk to Orario wasn't the most exhilarating. 'Of course I jinxed myself.' A goblin leaps out of the bushes. I slide myself back into a stance, pull the spear off my back, and get ready, seeing that two more goblins and a kobold follow. The first goblin rushes me while the other two fan out to my sides. The kobold waits to attack. I dodge the jumping goblin and Pierce the back of its head as it goes past me. The other two, seeing their comrade die, run to attack me. I use the back end of the spear to hit the left one in the head (screech) and use the tip to cut the neck of the one to my right (gurgle). As I turn to finish off the last goblin, the kobold, which I had taken my eyes off of, has sneaked behind me. Upon noticing it, I dodged its claw, getting a small tear to my jacket. Although I feel those two kills have given me a slight increase in stats, my perception still needs more work. I quickly kill the downed goblin that's clutching its head in pain, then move to attack the kobold with a jab. It ducks, trying to lunge at me. I hit him with the center of the spear, pushing it down to pole vault away. Pulling out the dagger in my pocket, I throw it, and it hits its eye. *screech* It covers its face, and I try to run. I get the spear out of the ground and throw it with all my strength through its back, pining it to the ground as it fails to die.
'That one kobold gave me more stats than the three goblins put together.' After removing the monster stones, I continued on my way. Minutes later, I could see the walls of Orario. Seeing the long line, I lamented not leaving even earlier and went to the back.
Guard:I.D. and reason for entering the city."
Regulus-*shows I.D* "To register as an adventurer"
Guard:Ok kid, the entrance fee is 500 valis. Take the main road till you hit the fountain in front of Babel and take a right. The guild is the largest building you see."
Regulus:Thank you, sir." *small bow*
As I walk through the city, I'm amazed to see it for the first time. Melen was a quaint city, but Orario is something else. As I reach the guild hall, I see it's rather empty. 'Most people are probably in the dungeon or have less pressing matters this early.' Seeing two small lines and an open window in front of the silver-haired elf, I walk over and say, "Excuse me, miss, I am here to register as an adventurer." She looks over and responds,Hello, I am Sophie. Here are the registration forms. Just turn those in with the fee of 5,000 0 Valis." I take the forms and fill them out. "Here you go, Miss Sophie." "So, Mr. Regulus Deodatus, is there anything else you need, such as a map or family looking for members?" "Yes, ma'am, I was wondering if the Hephaestus Famillia is recruiting, and if not, then do you know when the next recruitment is?" She glanced over my warrior's build and seemed surprised I was a crafter. "Yes, the Hephaestus Familla will be recruiting in two weeks. I recommend getting to know the city and renting a room. Once you join a family, you can then get a dungeon advisor if you require one." "Thank you, ma'am. I'll be leaving now." I waved back as I left. I looked at the map with an inn circled, and as I made my way there, I overheard some gossip. "Did you hear Lori's new elf hit level 3?" 'So just as planned, about 2 years before cannon. Just need to join a family and level up every 4 months or so until level 6 for ample time crafting.' Reaching the inn, I ordered a room for 2 weeks, then wrote a letter to my parents, telling them that I am fine and that instead of going into the dungeon, I'll be exploring the city for the next 2 weeks, then I will tell them if I have gotten into the Hephaestus Famillia or not. ' I want to wait to summon my waifu party before going into the dungeon.'
Once I mailed the letter, I was feeling a little hungry. Making sure to steer clear of the Hostess of Fertility, I picked up some street meat to eat while looking around the city shops. As the dusk turned to night, I made my way back to the inn, taking in the lights that wove through the city.
*Two weeks later*
Aside from buying myself some armor, A light gray breastplate, shin guards, forearm guards, and some pauldrons.

These past two weeks have been pretty uneventful. I was making my way over to Babel to check on the stuff I left to sell on the 8th floor.
*flashback*
After getting settled into the inn, I realized instead of just lazing around for these two weeks, I could get some stuff done, so I decided to go to Babel and see about selling all those weapons I had made over the years. Taking the elevator up to the 8th floor, I walked around and found an OK shop to sell my stuff in. Walking up to the teller, "Hey, can I sell my stuff here, taking off the pack of weapons from my back? he responded, "First, let me see what you got here; then, if it looks fine, I'll see what we can do. Just so you know, those not associated with the Hephaestus Familia are charged more for listing weapons here." As he checked over everything, he hummed a bit, then grabbed a contract from under the counter: "Fill this out with all relevant information about your products, and then I'll show you an area to set up." After filling out the form, he led me to somewhere in the middle of the shop and showed an empty craft on a shelf and said, "Here you go, just put them in and stop by occasionally to see if anything has sold. Good day, sir."

As I walked into the shop, I was immediately flagged down by the teller, a stout Dwarven man. He said, "Mr.Deodatus, wonderful! Most of your items have sold; congratulations. The only things left are a few daggers, but the swords and spears are gone. Here is your payment. After service fees, it comes to 273 thousand valis." "Thank you, but please just call me Regulus." "No problem, Regulus. I wanted to ask if you would like to set up a contract to have your weapons sold through our family." I responded, "I'm hoping to join the Hephaestus Famillia later today during the recruitment." The teller responded, "Wow, you should have told me." He quickly wrote a letter and gave it to me. "Here, take this letter and give it to the recruitment proctor, and it should get you through the tests. Most of the tests are just a formality to see who has talent and who doesn't." I thanked him after taking my money and letter, then left towards the Hephaestus Famillia forges, where the recruitment would be.
