It is in the nature of us humans to be curious and, sometimes, even reckless. Nobody can tell how far a person is willing to go just to satisfy ones' curiosity. But one thing that everyone knows and acknowledges is; if there's curiosity, there's chaos. And if there's chaos, there's disaster. That disaster is, in any way, beneficial to no one.
The sword hung the air, floating with unseen energy as its' blade glowed a faint icy blue under the moonlight. The blue crystal at the start of its hilt shining, giving it an even more intimidating and cold aura.
Not far from the sword, rose the head of a young man, gripping his head in pain from the fall he had just dealt with a few seconds ago. He got up quietly, examining the lake on his left completely frozen with an expression that confirmed his silenced horror.
As he gazed around him, doing a 180 degree scan of his surrounding, his focus landed back on his sword, known for its glorious power and the beauty that it was.
It was, indeed, very significantly beautiful. Though that was not what the young man noticed about it as he stood before it. Behind the sword, his eyes followed, as the creature created by him, although accidentally, glared and sneered, its fangs wet with saliva.
He stood extremely still, unable to move, to make a sound for his dear life as his thoughts ran wild with the sheer possibility of surviving tonight slipping away from his hands ever so easily.
He stared at the creature in pure terror as he mumbled to himself, hoping his brain would form an answer for him.
'What have I done...'
