Arette slammed her hand on the table. "Garette, you don't have the right to talk to Dominic like that! He's just looking out for you, and in return, you're calling him a killer? Apologise to him, now!"
Garette was taken aback by his sister's demand, surprised that she was standing up for Dominic. He opened his mouth to protest, but the look on Arette's face stopped him. He knew she was serious. "You know nothing!" Garette said through gritted teeth before storming out of the mansion, with Dominique running after him.
Dominic sat there, watching as Garette stormed out. He had not expected Arette to defend him so vehemently, but he was grateful for it.
Arette turned to Dominic, a contrite expression on her face. "I'm sorry about Garette's words," she said softly. "He was out of line and had no right to speak to you like that. I apologise for his behaviour."
