Damien's eyes widened slightly at the mention of Nicolas Serpenti's name. Nicolas Serpenti was a notorious crime boss, known for his wealth and influence. Approaching him would be risky, but Damien was running out of choices.
"Nicolas Serpenti..." he repeated, his voice low. "You're seriously suggesting I go to him?"
Carlos nodded, watching his boss's reaction closely. "He's got more money than Dominic, I think, and everyone knows he's always looking for business opportunities. It's worth a shot, isn't it? Plus, there is no other option."
Damien hesitated for a moment, considering the pros and cons of dealing with such a dangerous person. Nicolas Serpenti wasn't known for being forgiving or understanding. But, on the other hand, Damien's situation was increasingly dire, and he seemed to have no better options.
"Fine," he grumbled, his voice laced with hesitation. "Nicolas is dangerous, but I'd rather go to him instead of Dominic."
