Dominic stood in the doorway of the bedroom, holding a small pill and a glass of water. He walked over to Arette, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, and gently handed her the medication. "Your medication arrived. The doctor said this will help with your brain and healing," he said, his voice soft and reassuring. "It's important that you take this. Maybe after a week of you constantly taking this, I will let you go back to school."
Arette took the pill from him without hesitation, swallowing it with the water. Dominic smiled, pleased with her compliance. "Good girl," he murmured, pecking her cheek and pulling her into a gentle hug. If she had been like this from the beginning, she wouldn't have to take the dangerous step of forcing her memories away. The two got ready for the night and got on the bed. This time, Arette wasn't so uncomfortable as she was already getting used to having a grown man sleep beside her.
