The sun had just begun to rise, but Matthew had been up for hours, working on a new project proposal for the community centre construction. It had been a few weeks since he started his part-time job at Jenkins Construction, and things were going well. The balance between school and work was challenging, but Matthew enjoyed the real-world experience.
"Morning, Matt," James called from across the room, munching on a granola bar. "Big day today?"
"Yeah, got a meeting with Mr. Jenkins after classes," Matthew replied, barely looking up from his laptop. "We're finalising the plans for the structural frames."
