Dami woke to the blaring sound of her alarm clock, the shrill beeping cutting through the serene stillness of the early morning. She groaned and reached out to silence the noise, her hand fumbling on the nightstand. With a deep breath, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up, stretching to shake off the remnants of sleep.
"Jen, Sara, wake up!" she called out as she shuffled towards the bathroom, her voice carrying through the dormitory they shared. "We've got tests today and class right after. We can't be late!"
A muffled groan emerged, followed by the sound of sheets rustling. Jen appeared in the hallway, her hair a tangled mess and her eyes half-closed. "I'm up, I'm up," she mumbled, rubbing her eyes.
Sara, always the early riser, was already in the kitchen, pouring herself a cup of coffee. "Morning, Dami," she greeted with a yawn. "I've made enough coffee for all of us. We're going to need it."
