Garette got dressed quickly, the morning light filtering through the curtains casting a warm glow on his room. He was still shaken from the events of the previous day, but he knew he had to go to school and face everything head-on. As he grabbed his backpack and headed out, he found Dominique waiting in front of his house, leaning against her car with a concerned look on her face.
"Dominique," Garette said. "What are you doing here? You didn't tell me you were coming. Also, you could have come in."
Dominique's eyes softened. "Of course, Garette. What's going on? You seemed so weird when Dami came to take you away yesterday. I was worried."
Garette took a deep breath and recounted the events that had happened, from Arette's accident to her losing her memories and Dominic forcing them to lie to Arette about her being his fiancée. Dominique's face grew more and more horrified even though she already knew about it.
