I slam the car door behind me, stomping into the penthouse without waiting for Dante. My chest heaves with every breath, fury coursing through me like wildfire. How dare he? He barely shows up, even too busy while I was in danger, and then drags me home like I'm some helpless child.
The door creaks as it closes, and I spin around just in time to see Dante walk in, the anger in his eyes barely restrained. He tosses his jacket onto the nearest chair, his eyes locking onto mine with that infuriating calmness of his.
"Don't start, Anastasia," he says, voice low, warning.
"Don't start?" I snap, pacing back and forth. "You dragged me out of there like I had no choice, Dante! Like I'm a possession you can just toss into a car and haul around as you please."
