Their night of passion lingered a little bit more, with the hooting of the owl marking the dead of night.
Alicia had drifted into a deep sleep, resting her head quietly and sleeping soundly on her son's bare chest.
She was so peaceful and calm, something that she had long forgotten how it felt.
Meanwhile, Aaron couldn't sleep.
His face was full of grimace and gnashing of teeth. Aaron put a hand on his forehead and rubbed it to soothe the terrible ache that he was feeling.
"What is this headache!" he uttered with a pronounced frown.
It was as though people pounded something inside of his head. It was so bad that he had to squint his eyes, and eventually shut his eyes tightly, to gain some relief.
Aaron sighed loudly out of frustration and gently shifted his mother's body to the side, allowing her to sleep on another side of the bed while covering her up with the bed sheet.
