Chapter 3 - Reincarnation

Michael is born without any knowledge, but does retain other forms of memories other than logic, in the form of instincts, personality, and reactions to things that he had previously organised for the sake of the perspective he wanted to explore within this life.

He can't see, and he can't hear.

Blind and deaf.

He is in a complete void, but he can feel touch and emotions.

Immediately something naturally feels wrong or broken, so he cries his baby heart out, unable to discern if his wimpers are real or if this is a fever dream.

Meanwhile, as he remains in a state of limbo where he doesn't know if he is dead or alive, his parents celebrate his birth, unaware of his physical impairments.

In a small village, a community with a strong strong family bond and a great sense of home is the welcoming atmosphere.

The culture is all about respect and kindness for the sake of happiness, rather than any sort of fixation on purpose or importance.

They're all a carefree group of people, so even though he is stuck in this body within his current conditions, he will be well cared for and loved deeply. So much so that very soon he will come to understand this love firsthand despite his lack of sense, for even though he can't see or hear, his nervous system is hyper sensitive just like any other human being, and can feel comforted through this form of communication with things he can develop a personal relationship with.

"Ooooh, don't cry so much my baby…", the mother feels sad for her new born child, and tries to pay and rock him in her arms as the ladies who helped her with her labours help clean up after the birth.

The father, a man of great compassion for his family and freespirited with his sense of youth intact, cries for the grace of this moment, and he storms out of the house in tears announcing to the village who waited outside in anticipation, "I HAVE A SON!!!".

"WHOOO!!! *clap clap clap*", the towns people celebrate, and the father's mother and parents I law all go to him shaking, overwhelmed with emotion.

His mother lost strength in her knees, and cries to herself, "I'm a grandma now.".

They all embrace.

Meanwhile, a toddler no older than 1 year old sits on the shoulders of her father, slapping the top of his head and squealing very loudly to the energy of the situation.

"We definitely need to arrange play dates between Minami's and our little girl~", says the mother of the toddler to the father.

"Hmmm… I know that's the right thing to do, but it's a boy…"

"My oh my, are you scared that he'll take her away from you already?", she cheekily chuckles.

"D-don't even joke about that! My heart can't take it…"

"Ahaha, even so, she really needs a friend her age, and this is something we have been looking forward to even before I got pregnant with Sepia~", she says taking her daughter off of her husband's shoulders to cradle her in her arms.

She starts blowing raspberries into her daughters belly, and the three of them all laugh together too engrossed in their own little world together.

"Um, dear? Sweetie, can you come back in here for a second please.", the mother of the new born child tries to grab the attention of her husband, looking for a second opinion about something she's growing in concern over in regards to her baby.

"Sorry mama, I have to go and check up on the baby for a moment, you'll all get to see him soon enough.", he smiles oblivious to the urgency like everyone else.

The grandmother of the child continues to cry to herself, "My baby still calls me mama even though he has a baby of his own now… MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT!!!", the parents of the her son's wife laugh and hug her while going through the same thing.

"Hello there~ How's everything going over here?", the father walks over to both his wife and child.

"I can't get the baby to stop crying, and everything I say and do doesn't seem make him feel any better. I need you here with me so I don't start crying too…"

"Awww, ahaha, it's fine it's fine.", he babies her while rubbing her shoulder.

She rests her head on his shoulder with puppy dog eyes, and the village ladies/friends who supported her with the delivery are looking onto them with love struck aches in their hearts.

They both stay together and try their best to comfort their new born son.
