It didn't take long for Jason to find the dungeon… it was on a pretty high hill, and The entrance led to a stone staircase downward. That was fine and all, but what wasn't fine was the stone statues of humans that Jason saw around. They showed the perfect look of astonishment and terror in their faces…
"Are they real?" Jason furrowed his eyebrows. "I can only think of one type of monster that could have done this… Gorgons and Medusa."
In Greek mythology, the Gorgons were monstrous creatures with serpentine features, most famously represented by Medusa. Medusa herself was once a beautiful maiden, but she was cursed by the goddess Athena for desecrating her temple. As a result of Athena's curse, Medusa's hair turned into venomous snakes, and anyone who gazed upon her face would be turned to stone.
