Jason dashed toward the enemies, and then they assumed their defensive stances. Still, when Jason used Charge, they barely had time to react. The shield of Jason's target was raised, but it was blown away when he used Double Slash. In the next moment, he used the same skill two more times and cracked the skull of the target with four almost instant hits.
Jason used Charge to the side again; this time, they opened the defense of the opponent with a body slam and then followed by Furious Claw. The enemy was hit in the chin, and its body was raised in the air. Jason quickly hit the enemy with a roundhouse kick. He forced the creature to hit and push backward several of its allies.
"This is much better!" Jason thought while entering the enemies formation.
Some of the enemies hit Jason while he was advancing and cutting through their lines with his quick succession of skills, but the wounds caused barely made him bleed. Some of the spears pierced deeply, but only slightly. Jason's Regeneration quickly closed them. The burning pain was annoying, but the adrenaline made Jason ignore it.
At some point, Jason decided to be insane and Charge two times in a row. He almost broke his left shoulder, but that had been enough for him to knock down a line with five enemies.
"Here are some gifts for everyone!" Jason said while firing Mana Arrows in all directions.
Some orcs began throwing their spears, which were quite heavy, at Jason. He blocked them with his Gauntlets, and while he was busy with them, the nearby enemies tried to stab him. He jumped to avoid them and then kicked the face of one of the monsters with all his might, making its neck break. With the boost, Jason moved to the side and then double-punched another orc that was killed instantly.
Jason landed between some monsters and then tried to smash him with their shields, but that was only buying time… Jason saw the others retreating.
"Hey, what the fuck?" Jason protested while he punched the shields away and killed the monsters with Mana Arrows.
Realizing the futility of their assault, panic seized the remaining orcs, but then they received the order to retreat. Their united front crumbled as they scattered into the darkness, desperate to escape the onslaught of that single human.
And so, the battlefield was quiet once more, save for the fading echoes of the orcs' retreat. Jason was supposed to feel happy about it, but he only felt troubled… just when he thought of fighting them for real, just like they wanted.
"I guess you can't please Greeks and Romans at the same time…" Jason thought and then realized that his clothes were a mess. "This was my favorite of clothes, you know… you guys will have to pay for this in one way or the other. Still, I should also blame myself for it."
The orcs retreated, but only to fight inside their camp. They had the upperhand there, so it made sense… it was the logical option. Jason was the one being illogical, wishing they would fight him when they didn't have the chance to win in this place.
In any case, Jason decided to take a short break to cool down his head and think of his next steps.

"I suppose I can keep fighting them there, but I need some protection… I want to check if I can improve my bloodline rank. Still, I can't let them deal with critical damage," Jason thought while he was checking the enemies from afar, and they were still focusing their eyes on him. "Returning now to make some Defensive gear is the best option, but each minute, those guys get four more allies… this will only make things more difficult for me."
It seemed that Jason's decision-making skills needed some work. In any case, letting their numbers grow might be beneficial to him, but making those dungeons disappear from the area was more important.
In the end, Jason decides to harass the opponents because of their choices. He approaches their camp and notices that the archers try to hit him only when he is fifty meters away. From that distance, their arrows can reach him in less than a second, but he also has plenty of time to identify them and move to the side.
"I guess it would be too much for them to hit me from further away in the darkness of the night…" Jason thought and then began to shoot Fireballs at the enemy's base.
The orcs hid themselves behind their shields and walls, but Jason didn't mind it. His goal was actually the walls. It seemed that the orcs were smart enough to use some kind of resin on the walls, making them not burn that easily. Still, the walls could only endure so much when Jason hit the same spot over and over again on their base.
