Before anything could happen and get in Jason's way, he decided to put the plan into action, even though he felt that he wasn't ready.
Just like before, Jason made his fishing pole spin, but this time, he was planning to make it circulate around the boss's neck. It was evident that he couldn't strangle the creature. It was also very obvious that the line wouldn't resist for that long. Still, Jason only wanted to use them for a while and cause damage in a very particular way.
Once he threw the line, it didn't take even a second for it to cross the neck of the beast, and before it could touch it or the beast could react, Jason pulled it and quickly tied it up to his spear… now both ends of the line were attached to it. When the colossal beast began to move, Jason used Double Slash over and over again. The first few hits only caused a few scratches on the monster. Still, the damage began to pile up. Eventually, it began to bleed… eventually, the giant started to pull the line, and then that made the spear pierce the wound.
Jason let go of both of them and then began to hit the butt of the spear with the palm of his hands. That hurt like hell, but he kept going since the beast didn't try to get up, only tried to free itself.
Blood began to gush from the wound and fell on Jason, but he ignored that as he saw some numbers in front of him.
-37! - 45! - 43!
He could only imagine the damage he was causing, so Jason kept attacking. Each hit increased those numbers until the beast began to shake its head from one side to the other.
Jason lost the chance to attack, but the monster still hurt itself just by moving. It didn't have the chance to grab the lines yet, so it was only wasting time. Still, all of a sudden, thanks to the panic, the monster moved its head backward and then hit Jason…
The impact made him lose the air in his chest, but that wasn't the worst part… the worst part was the fact that he fell from a place ten meters above ground level and fell on his back.
The agonizing pain made Jason tremble all over and feel cold taking over his body… he didn't know what he had broken, but he definitely broke something.
Before Jason could think of doing anything, he felt the ground trembling and the sound of heavy footsteps. It looked like the boss finally got up… when he tried to move his back, he saw the creature falling to the side.

Even before he could distribute the points that he got, Jason felt better, thanks to the increase in his HP. He reached level twenty-seven and had plenty of free points to use. So, he doubled his HP to decrease his pain by half, and that worked wonders. He still felt like a piece of shit that had been smashed by a giant, but he would live.
"I need to get… up. The trolls might be coming, and I need to… be ready for them…" Jason forced himself to get up, and he felt a bit better immediately, as increasing his max HP also increased his minimum HP.

After using some points, Jason confirmed a bunch of things. First of all, to increase his power, he would need two times more status points. Each point could increase either his minimum or maximum attack. Aside from that, he confirmed that his Constitution increased his HP by ten points, Spirit increased his MP by the same amount, and Perception did the same to SP.
Jason also felt his body getting strange… like he was floating or something. His mind became clear, and he became more conscious of his surroundings… it was probably because he leveled up. Regardless, the surprises didn't end there.
