Izayu and Itsuka held hands as they walked through the city. Izayu smiled at him, and he smiled back. As they wandered around, they decided to eat at a restaurant, happily enjoying their date. Suddenly, a huge bang was heard in the distance.
"What is this commotion about?" Itsuka wondered aloud.
"Itsuka, could we continue our date? I don't want this commotion to ruin it," Izayu pleaded.
"Of course. Why don't we check it out?" Itsuka suggested.
"Checking it out might be just fine," Izayu agreed.
They stepped outside the restaurant just as it was destroyed by a single attack. Looking back, they saw the demon lord of Envy attacking the city.
"How the f*ck could we live a happy life when our leader is dead, and you guys are still alive?" the demon lord raged.
"Yup, a demon lord of Envy indeed," Itsuka remarked, taking a sip of his drink. Izayu giggled at his nonchalance. The demon lord then noticed them standing there without a trace of fear.
"Huh!? And who might the two of you be?" the demon lord snarled.
As the demon lord flew down, a sword came flying out of nowhere, hitting him in the chest. The demon lord screamed, yanked the sword out, and tried to fly away from the scene.
"He's leaving now? Why though?" Itsuka wondered aloud.
As Izayu and Itsuka looked at the attacker, they realized it was none other than Aoki Natori, his other eye glowing yellow. Sensing the presence of another X holder, Itsuka immediately concealed his own X inside himself.
"Aoki is an X holder?" Itsuka thought, astonished.
As the demon lord escaped, Aoki turned back to normal, feeling nauseous after using his X. Minato Hatiri arrived at the scene, looking at Aoki with approval.
"Nice job, Aoki," Minato said.
"You think so?" Aoki replied, uncertain.
"Kinda. You've fully controlled the Hero X in your body, but as for the Villain X, you still can't. The Hero X itself could defeat a demon lord with ease. That's probably why the demon lord ran—he sensed the presence of the Hero. So, truth be told, your actions weren't perfect, but you still did great," Minato explained.
"Really?" Aoki asked, a bit reassured.
"You're an X holder?" Itsuka interjected, still sipping his drink.
Minato and Aoki realized someone was watching them. Without hesitation, Minato charged at Itsuka, but Izayu blocked the attack easily with her swift reaction time.
"Not bad for a silent manipulator, even a Class S has fallen to your hands," Minato remarked.
"Why did you even attack me in the first place?" Itsuka asked, unfazed.
"Don't worry about it. Although, you hearing about the X and knowing about it is a big deal since the X holders are supposed to be secret. Don't tell me the one who told you about it is Patricia herself, since she, along with Izayu, has also fallen into your hands," Minato retorted.
"Is it though? Secret information is truly unauthorized, then, since a fellow reincarnation like I am knew about it," Itsuka responded calmly.
"Tsk, I know you're the one who caused problems for my younger brother. So I'm telling you now, don't get on my bad side, because if you do, I'll make sure to ruin you entirely," Minato warned.
"I see. Anyways, I have a date to continue here, so the both of you better not get in our way," Itsuka said dismissively.
As Itsuka held Izayu's hand, he looked at her and smiled, showing her that they would continue their date without any more interruptions. Izayu happily smiled back.
"Itsuka, come to the student council tomorrow before third period. I want to face you and talk to you directly," Minato demanded.
"I'll think about it," Itsuka replied nonchalantly.
As Izayu and Itsuka walked away, they entered the cinema and watched a horror movie. They laughed as it finished, enjoying the thrill and each other's company. After a few more hours of their date, they found themselves sitting in Laviosa Park, gazing at the stars.
"Izayu, you're one of the greatest people I've ever met," Itsuka said, his voice soft with sincerity. "Being with you feels like discovering a hidden gem every day. Your kindness, intelligence, and beauty continue to inspire me. I'm so lucky to have you in my life."
Izayu blushed at his compliment, leaning her head on Itsuka's shoulder. "Thanks, Master. I'll make sure to give you the greatest things I can to keep you loving me forever. I'll do anything you want, since following your commands also brings me pleasure. It makes me feel more useful to you."
Itsuka then kissed Izayu on the lips. Suddenly, a portal was summoned beneath them, and they fell, landing in Itsuka's dorm. They continued to kiss, tongues entwined, pulling away only to catch their breath. They giggled as Itsuka slowly took off her clothes.
The next day, Izayu woke up naked beside Itsuka, who also stirred awake. She looked at him lovingly.
"Master, it's morning now. Would you like to go to school or use me before you go?" she asked, a playful glint in her eyes.
Itsuka gently patted her head. Izayu kissed him, and he hugged her back onto the bed.
Later, Itsuka arrived at school, feeling refreshed by their time together. As he walked through the hallways, Mazuri suddenly jumped on him from behind.
Mazuri glanced at Itsuka, who was still half-asleep. "We're both almost late, don't you think?" he said, trying to shake off his fatigue.
Itsuka shrugged. "So?"
Mazuri sighed. "I'm almost late because I didn't get enough sleep last night. How about you? You're never late. Why are you about to be late right now? Can't get enough—"
"Shut up," Itsuka snapped. "Masturbating is something I've only done once, so shut up."
Itsuka thought to himself, *I'm almost late because I can't get enough of Izayu, but of course, I wouldn't admit that. Besides, he can't even know that I'm dating her.*
"Mazuri, how did you remember that word? Why is that the reason you couldn't get enough sleep last night?" Itsuka asked, trying to change the subject.
Mazuri hesitated. "Eh? Umm, of course not."
Itsuka smirked. "Bro, you're so predictable. Tell me, is it Lea?"
Mazuri's face turned red. "Uhh, well, HOW THE F*CK WOULD I F*CKING ADMIT TO THAT!?"
"Chill, bro. You just admitted it right now," Itsuka replied calmly.
Mazuri's frustration boiled over. "Why the hell is she even chasing you and not me? Bro, how are you pulling so many girls? From some of the rumors, they say you're even dating Patricia, the princess herself. I envy you so much, bro."
Shosuke approached them, waving. "Yo guys, what's up!"
As the two boys looked behind them, they saw Shosuke running towards them. He pointed at the school bell and kept running. They looked up at the school clock, their jaws dropping as they realized they were late.
The three of them were punished and had to clean the school hallway. Chizume and Itori walked by, carrying what seemed to be test papers. When they saw Itsuka, they both waved at him. Mazuri glared jealously, and Itsuka pretended not to notice, looking away.
Shosuke sighed. "Mazuri, we both know you have zero rizz, but you have to understand that falling for someone who has already fallen for someone else is what a fool would do. Bro, it's really sad to see you like this. You have to understand that sometimes you have to accept that the person you have feelings for has feelings for someone else. It's not giving up; it's realizing you deserve someone who is just as excited to be with you."
Mazuri sighed heavily, frustration etched across his face. "That's easy for you to say. Itsuka has so many girls chasing him, and what hurts the most is that the one I love is also after him."
Itsuka placed a hand on Mazuri's shoulder. "Sometimes the bitter truth is that the heart wants what it can't have. It's a cruel realization to see the person you adore, the one who consumes your thoughts and dreams, harboring affections for another. The weight of unrequited love presses down, crushing hope beneath its relentless force. You find yourself clinging to threads of possibility, hoping against hope for a chance that may never come. But amidst this heartbreak lies a deeper truth: you deserve a love that reciprocates with the same fervor, a love that doesn't leave you stranded on the shores of longing. Letting go isn't about giving up; it's about freeing yourself from a one-sided affection, paving the way for a love that will embrace you fully and mend the fractures left behind by unfulfilled yearning."
Mazuri scoffed, brushing Itsuka's hand away. "Tsk, I'm fine. Just don't pry into my life."
As the second period ended, Itsuka made his way to the student council room, where Minato awaited him.
"I see you actually came, so I can talk to you directly," Minato said, a hint of a challenge in his voice. "Now, let's see. Are you the reason my brother went berserk?"
Itsuka nodded. "Yeah."
"And whose fault is this?" Minato demanded.
"From my view, it's his. He's the one that challenged me in the first place."
Minato raised an eyebrow. "I see, so you think it's only from your perspective?"
"Not really," Itsuka replied thoughtfully. "I can imagine it from different perspectives. But I mostly think it's an opinion, not a fact. Everyone sees things differently. One person's opinion can turn into a fact, but I shouldn't put my hopes up. Now, whose fault this battle started between us is his."
Minato leaned back, crossing his arms. "You're quite honest, aren't you? May I get your full name?"
"Itsuka Yagami," Itsuka said without hesitation. "I don't see a reason to hide it from you."
Minato nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. "Genuinely, I like your guts."
"So, what is your relationship with Aoki?" Itsuka asked.
Minato glanced away, his expression softening. "Him? He had a very hazardous past before I knew him. Wanna hear about it?"
"Sure," Itsuka said, intrigued. "From what I remember, he was a classmate of mine back in middle school."
