Chapter 9 - D Classer Against Class S

As Itsuka sat there at the Park bench looking at the night sky above him, Ray showed up, and Itsuka looked at her, confused, not knowing what she was thinking.

Ray Skyrish hesitantly said, "Um, Itsuka!"

Itsuka Yagami replied, "Hm? What is it?"

"Well, you see, my memories haven't come back yet. We still don't know if they ever will. So, if you wouldn't mind... would you consider making me your bride?"

Itsuka Yagami looked at her thoughtfully. "Sure, I'll think about it."

"Eh? Really?" Ray was taken aback.

"Yeah. Anyway, I'm leaving. Wanna walk back to our dorm together?"

"Um, uh, yeah, yes," Ray stammered.

"Cool, let's go."

As the two walked, they were greeted by Patricia Mine, who seemed to appear out of thin air.

"Hello, dear Itsuka," Patricia said. "It's been a long time since we last talked, right? Sorry for not helping you back then."

"It's okay. Anyway, wanna come with us?"

"Um, where?" Patricia asked, curious.

"To my dorm!" Itsuka replied.

"EHHHHHHH!!!!!!" both Patricia and Ray exclaimed.

"Just kidding," Itsuka said with a laugh.

Back at the palace, Mitsuri Mine, the first princess, stood on her balcony at night as the breeze swayed her hair.

"Ara ara, Itsuka Yagami," Mitsuri mused. "He's not too bad of a challenge. Let's see how he dances on my strings. Oh yeah, I remember he's head over heels for both of my sisters. This will be easier than I expected. Fufu. Destroying him too early would be boring. Why not play with him first? He won't stand a chance against me. Let's make him dance in my palm like a puppet that can't even see its own strings."

Three days later, as Itsuka got ready for school, he opened the door to find Itori already waiting outside.

As they both get out of the dorms building, Itori is a little bit exaggerated as she can see her older brother behind him yawning.

"Can't you go any faster, big bro?" Itori Yagami complained.

"You're the one who waited even though I never told you to," Itsuka replied.

As Itsuka walked, he thought to himself, *That crazy lady. How strong exactly is Mitsuri's special ability? She managed to manipulate all the students into believing that the Kairo incident didn't even happen. Has she been doing this all along? This manipulation might be why we were betrayed. Even if people find out, she won't get in trouble. It might hurt her reputation, but that's it. My popularity doesn't matter. Why did she let people remember me? Is she playing with me? Does she think I'm her toy? Her power isn't enough to stop me. The important thing is that I got my sister back, even if she forgot about Kairo. Mitsuri would make a useful pawn with her power and authority.*

"ONICHAN!!!" Itori's shout snapped Itsuka out of his thoughts.

"Eh? Oh, wait, what? Yeah, what is it?" Itsuka asked.

"Hey, big brother, is something bothering you?"

"Hmm? Nothing important, so don't worry about it."

"You do know I know you better than anyone else, right? And I can tell when you're lying."

"I know, but I'll tell you when the time is right. The consequences are very negative, so it's better you not know for now."

As they arrived at school, Itori split off to meet her friend Anme, and Itsuka took his seat. He noticed something wrong with Kaname; her face was serious and filled with anger. When she looked at Itsuka, he immediately looked away to avoid getting involved.

Their teacher, Hiiragi Sensei, entered the classroom with an announcement. "Okay, class. On September first, there will be a school tournament between classes E, D, C, B, A, and S. It's a chance for your class to move up to class A or even S if you're successful. Tomorrow, August sixth, there will be a competition within your class to determine who will fight in the finals against the other classes. We need five candidates to fight and come out victorious."

Itsuka turned to Kaname. "Hey, Kaname, you don't seem to be a fighter. You're more like a long-range healer or a pacifist, right? If we get paired to fight for a candidate spot, you'll likely lose. Would you consider surrendering?"

Kaname looked at him, confused. "Who is Kaname?"

Itsuka was taken aback. "Eh?"

In his mind, Itsuka thought, *Mitsuri, what did you do to your own sister, you bastard?*

Later that day, Itsuka went to Patricia's classroom and found her reading a book.

"Patricia!" Itsuka called out.

All the students' attention turned to him as Patricia looked up and smiled. Whispers and gossip filled the room as they speculated about their relationship.

"Ara ara, what is it?" Patricia asked.

"I need to talk to you about something. Follow me."

"Fufu, you're pretty confident. You don't even care what people think about you," Patricia said, teasingly.

"Are you coming or not!?" Itsuka demanded.

Patricia looked into Itsuka's eyes. They used to be innocent, but now they were cold as ice. "I'm sorry for my rudeness. Yes, I'll follow you."

The students were stunned as they watched Itsuka. A student laughed and pointed at him.

"Who the hell is he? Patricia, you're a princess. He should be the one apologizing. Hey, dumbass, show some respect and kneel!" shouted Qutari Masamune.

Itsuka glared at him. "You talk big. Do you wanna die?"

"Try me, D-classer! This is S-class. You're not beating anyone here," Qutari retorted.

Itsuka laughed and quickly grabbed Patricia's arm, but Qutari grabbed her other arm.

"Where do you think you're taking my future bride?" Qutari demanded.

"Hey, isn't that Masamune, one of the most popular boys in school? He's a coach at magical football. Really awesome," a student whispered.

"Fine then, mister. Why don't we duel? The winner gets Patricia," Qutari proposed.

"Please don't fight over me. Fufu," Patricia giggled.

"Are you seriously enjoying this, princess?" Itsuka asked.

"Why not? The one I love is trying to win me over. Fufu," Patricia teased.

"Do you accept, or are you going to run off like a coward?" Qutari taunted. "I'm pretty sure Patricia meant me when she said 'love.'"

"Fufu, you're free to think whatever you want," Patricia replied.

"Of course, darling," Qutari said smugly.

"Then I guess it's a duel," Itsuka agreed.

Qutari attempted to kiss Patricia as a Goodluck charm but failed miserably as Itsuka pulled her closer to him. Itsuka Yagami remarked, "You haven't won yet," as Qutari fell to the ground, his head bleeding. Itsuka noted the growing crowd of onlookers and whispered to Qutari, "You're quite popular. Tell me, who really are you?"

Qutari, filled with arrogance, replied, "You don't even know me, dumbass. I am Qutari Masamune, the legend and brother of Minato Satiri, the student council president. Although we have different fathers, I will be the one to marry Patricia."

Itsuka pondered the challenge ahead, realizing the weight of facing the student council president's brother. As they moved outside to the school field, anticipation filled the air. The students and teachers expected Itsuka to win, but as the referee counted down, tension mounted.

"Ten!"

"You talk big in words, but I'll talk big back at you in physical combat," Qutari boasted.

"I see."

"Eight!"

"Say, what's even your class anyway? I'm a swordsman, a candidate to be the next Sword Saint Master," Qutari questioned.

"I don't have a class. I'm a neutral classer. That means I don't just pick one class to learn; I pick more than once since it's better to know more than focus on one," Itsuka explained calmly.

"FIVE!"

"Yeah, I doubt you'd win," Qutari retorted.

"Two!"

"You sure about that?"

"FIGHT!"

Qutari charged at Itsuka, but Itsuka effortlessly blocked his sword with his bare hands. Qutari, confused, realized it was all an illusion as Itsuka laughed behind him. Feeling disoriented, Qutari prepared to fight again, but Itsuka remained unfazed.

Suddenly, Qutari found himself surrounded by darkness, unable to see anything but hearing eerie sounds. He backed up in fear, only to realize the fight hadn't even begun yet. Itsuka stood where he was, laughing at Qutari's confusion.

As Qutari attempted to strengthen himself with a protective spell, Itsuka pulled out a scythe and engaged him physically. Despite the shock of the spectators, Itsuka effortlessly blocked all of Qutari's attacks.

Before anyone knew it, Qutari lay defeated on the ground, without a single bruise. The students accused Itsuka of cheating, but Itsuka declared with a chilling smile, "He's dead."

The referee froze in horror, realizing Qutari was indeed lifeless. Itsuka's eerie grin sent shivers down Patricia's spine as she watched in disbelief.

Itsuka then sent Qutari to hell, where he suffered endlessly. Despite the chaos among the students, Itsuka remained unyielding, displaying his dominance.

As Qutari begged for mercy, Itsuka warned, "Your suffering will never end unless I win."

The students fell silent, realizing the gravity of the situation. Itsuka addressed the crowd, ensuring they understood the consequences of opposing him.

The referee, overwhelmed, cried as officials attempted to intervene. Itsuka ultimately released Qutari from his curse after the student council president himself arrives at the scene, leaving him unconscious. As Minato Satiri Qutari died from head smashing and nerve over high, But he keeps going back to life endlessly, by each fragments of death occurs in his body Itsuka turned of the curse he putted on Qutari after the student council president himself arrives at the arena, As Qutari fall unconscious, Minato attention went to Itsuka.

As both of their eyes locked in at each other, Minato the student council president asks

"Did you cause all of this commotion?" But Itsuka stayed silent as he refuses to answer back, Itsuka then grabbed Patricia's hand and teleported along with her out of the arena, winning the duel against a Class S, despite being a D Classer.
