Chapter 1 - Walk In The Park

Blood in my hand, embracing a cold and bloody body. Yet I can't find any reason to hate, loath, or even disgusted by this corpse. This lifeless body that I hold dear of, I swear I would hug it to sleep or even carry it around while shopping for her favorite branded handbag. That is how much I love this body, whether alive or dead soaked with blood from her open wound. Maybe I should take a selfie to commemorate this historical moment forever. Historically sad for me. She wont mind I guess, not that her thought matter though, she already dead.

........

"Sir, the convoy arrived." A voice cutting him off from his day dream.

Raza, the leader of a peacekeeping troop from the UN in a mission to observe the exchange of weapons between two major powers near the border in the mountains of Tbilisi.

"Observe the exchange and make sure everything is according to the list. Turn on the scanner for radiation and record everything in detail." Raza reaches for his communication device while giving out the order.

From the Darial Gorge border post, a dozen military trucks moved in a straight line toward the temporary tent set up by the UN.

"Gather up" Raza calls upon his troop.

A 20 person UN troop led by Raza gets into position near the tent. This is an exchange of highly sensitive weaponry between two allied giant forces in the current world. The Vlad Empire and Farsi of the Red Alliance. It was a time of conflict in the world, where the world was divided into blocks of power, The Red Alliance, The United Justice, Asia League and Unity Of Peace. The UN acts as a mediator in the conflict happening in the Middle East due to a falling of one of the powerhouse of the East from internal uprising, opening up a market of rare resources that escalates into a conflict involving the four major blocks.

What started as a revolution to remove the ruling government, turned into a global mess. A thriving powerful country reduces to rubble and the external powers invade for their share of cake. Lucrative luxurious cake worth billions of Dollar and a chance to dominate a segment of economy in one of profitable region birthing billions after billions more.

'That's what happens in globalization, what local value you hold dear of, seems like a backward old culture. The youngsters grow up watching foreign culture despising their own tradition. Religion turns to imprisonment, culture turns into wearying.' Raza shakes his head in frustration.

"Here we are, far away from home. Playing babysitter toward one big baby and another bigger baby." Loman said while checking the monitoring device.

"That's what we do best, babysit!" Raza sneering.

"We look, we hear, we record, but if anything blows up we do nothing." Loman sang in jeer while a mocking smile plastered on his face making Raza smile.

A tall pale white Caucasian casually walks toward Raza while holding a box like he was walking in the park for a picnic.

"Here, milks for the babysitter" Sasha of the Vlad handed a box of vodka to Raza. The Vlad representatives were a familiar contact between Raza troops with the Red Alliance. They exchange hug and greet happily as if this is a birthday party instead of an exchange of nuclear warhead and weapons of mass destruction.

"What an irony, the baby gives the milk to the nanny instead" Raza reaches out for the box making Loman raise his eyebrow. Raza and Loman, both coming from South East Asia and followers of Divine Scripture where alcoholic drinks are forbidden.

They were forbidden to take intoxicants including alcoholic drinks, eat pork and have to perform prayer a few times a day.

"Save it, Loman. You know what I am going through." Raza responded to Loman questioning looks.

"Don't get yourself lost in grief buddy. There's always salvation for the repentant.." Loman was cut off before he even finished. "Not now" Raza firmly stops Loman preaching.

Raza and Loman, know each other ever since they entered military school. Loman is a holder of knowledge, avid and pious follower of the Divine Scripture that memorizes all the holy books word by word. He is from a lineage of the pious believer and his father is a popular scholar of the Divine. Growing up by the religion, he carried it deep in his blood and always preached of the Divine knowledge even since they were in school, then in the cadet, and even now during a mission.

"It's been what..four months, or five since your last prayer…" Loman expressed his sorrow.

" After this box of 'milks', I'll get my head straight. Don't border too much." Raza tried to escape the preach.

"Hahaha, Nothing can't be straightened after getting a mouthful of mother milk." Sasha sticks one's oar in.

"I never see someone walk straight getting wasted," Loman joked.

The weapon exchange went on without problem and the convoy continued their journey toward Farsi. Meaning Raza and Loman missions were completed and they were ready to depart to the headquarters. Watching Sasha convoy returning to their border while waving his hand in goodbye to both Raza and Loman.

The troops are ready to embark on their trip to the base when an earthquake strikes. They were in an open area surrounded by a stone valley and deep cliff where the risk of landslides and falling rocks could occur during the disaster.

"Take cover!!" Raza scream when Kringgggg! A loud glass shattering sound and blinding crimson lighting struck them. The troop of 20 strong men, blacked out.

......….

It's too bright and hot, like the sun literally on top of your head. The soil was reddish and dry. While even a slow breeze of wind sends dust flying over entering the eyes. My eyes feel itchy, dry and tears slowly build up while my eyelids acting like a dam holding them in place. This is Africa. Where you can't even find a decent shade under a tree. Why do I have to be here instead of my hometown? While it's still warm in my hometown, the trees were abundant and the green grass covering the soil kept the dusk rooted. The smell of flora lingering in the air instead of this dry rancid smell of sweat and dried animal excrements.

What if she can't cook? We can eat out, every breakfast, lunch and dinner are our date.

What if she doesn't do house chores? We could stay in a hotel instead and get room service everyday. Everyday is our holiday.

What if she nagged a lot? I do covert missions most of the time and have to stay still and very quiet for a long time, of course I would love it if she talked a lot at home.

Seems crazy if you ask me but hey! They don't sing Crazy In Love for no reason.

She shines like the sun, even when Africa already has too much sun for my taste. I guess I'll put on an extra sun screen when we meet later or risk my life getting a double dose of sunburn.

Dr. Alessa Mirhad MBBS., ABC, DEF, GHI. SPLASSSHHHHHHH!!!

Cough! Cough! "Shit, What's happen? Guys? Anyone? STATUS!!?" Raza woke up from his stupor. His ears buzzed and his vision blurred and blinded from the lightning struck.

"LOMAN, Sound" Raza turns to his left where the sound comes. He could see some movement in his blurred vision. Its Loman. "Other? STATUS!!?"

"MATT, Sound" , "JOMA, I'm OK", "CHONG, I'm here", "PATT, need assist", "JAYA.. IM BLIND, HELP, oh my scarf cover my eye." …. All 20 people responded leaving Raza exhaled in relief. 'At least everyone here and alive'.

"You are all awake it seems." Suddenly a chilling yet cheerful woman's voice echoed.

"I am glad all of you are in good pieces, although, if you wonder, even I don't know the repercussions of my spell since it's my first time doing this. Heehe. I wont be shocked if you mangle out or getting mix like some weird painting, but of course, CONGRATULATION…You are probably the first human or living creature if it's matter, ever to experience a teleportation spell and survive. Hehehe." The troop turns over to look for where the female voice comes from.

It was then, like being soaked in icy water, they saw the horror of what was surrounding them despite the slightly dark ambience and dimmed light. The troop was inside a small pool with shallow black water and surrounded by creatures that seem coming out of fantasy movies. Above them, on the platform. A beautiful yet slightly pale skin woman looking at them one by one.

"Who are you?" Lamented one of the soldiers nervously. "What do you mean by spell? Where are we?" Ask another one.

Raza kept his calm demeanor while scouting the area with his still blurred vision while with one of his hands slowly reaching for the Desert Eagle and another for a tactical dagger. He saw Loman doing the same from the edge of his vision. 20 humanoid monster. If they could make a comparation, they look like an orc from the movie Lord Of The Ring but with animal part here and there. They look better then the Orc, at least some of them. Having a cat face for a head. Or is it a tiger. It was dim and their blurred vision doesn't help much.

"Welcome to the realm of the Fallen, my dear human neighbor. Heehe" The woman raised her hand. The harrowing monsters started growling, some showing their sharp fang, some taking a stance like a tiger ready to tackle its prey.

The troops start to feel anxious and grab their weapon. Taking their soaked wet weapon and aim around the monster. Ready to engage at a first threat. Raza and Loman slowly step closer to each other while observing the monsters. "What do you want?" Said Raza

She sighing exhaled her breath "Haaa. For someone as important as me, you have to be worthy before we could sit down and talk." It is at the exact moment her look turns vicious and sadistic. " Show me your worth….. Or DIEE!!" She screams while throwing her hand down signally the monster to attack.
