"Admiral! Battlecruiser 1 and 2 has both lost their primary shields, the bombers have also been noticed by the CIS forces and they are deploying all their fighters!" The status-officer said.
"Good, give me reports on the bombers, inform them that they will not have available support anytime soon." I told the fighter comms guy.
6 Squadrons are piercing straight down towards the Providence-Class Dreadnaught, while 11 Squadrons were climbing up towards the Providence.
The 4 Lucrehulks were each lauching their fighters kept back originally, a total of 750 per Lucrehulk so 3000.
So, usually. Keeping your fighters back is a sound strategy. But due to the Separatists arrogance regarding their Starfighter Numerical Superiority, they rarely send waves of over 50% of their actual force, keeping the other 50% in reserve.
Which is simply too much, even the battle of 3500 Starfighters, now down to 2450 Starfighters heavily limit their own reserves responding ability.
Especially when Maak Tuuk, put his Providence at the front, trusting the shields to deal with any weapons we can launch.
Which would be correct, The Providence had enough shields that even if we launched all we had, the remaining fleets would kill us first.
But we focused on the weaker Lucrehulks.
"Focus fire on the hangars of Battlecruiser 1 and 2, prevent them from launching any more Starfighters." I said, though most of the gunners was already doing that, which is how the 2 large hangars were current out of use for both Battlecruisers, but the small ones were also targeted.
And Battlecruiser 3 and 4, plus the Munificent's 48 Vulture's were simply too far away or too few.
And as such, just as Battlecruiser 1's core ship exploded, leaving a chain of explituon through it's wings.
The 11 Squadrons, now 10. Of the lower bombing party.
Had climbed owed the 'Achievement' bow and my brows furrowed in focus and expectations.
A grin spread through my entire facade as I saw an explosion form at the bow, the main bridge.
I also released a breath I did not know I was holding.
I heard a bunch of applause and shouting as the 100 Bombers flew past the Providence, 20 Pilots having died in the bombing run.
"Order the Bombers to split into two and focus on the Munificent's." I told the flight bridge comms officer.
"Battlecruiser 1 and 2 have been confirmed dead, the Flagship has been disabled, it's energy is down, and they're slowly falling." The scanners-Officer said.
"Good, order a change of target to Battlecruiser 3 and 4, The 'Negotiatior' and the 'Redeemer' will focus on Battlecruiser 3, The 'Resolute' and The 'Defender' will target Battlecruiser 4." I told a comms officer and he ran off.
"Acclamator 1 and 2 will focus on Cruiser 1 through 6." I told a second and he quickly repeated the order.
And with that, the turbolasers shifted targets.
Additionally, the Vulture's witnessed a significant change, they were now confused, and ending up following orders of individual ship commanders not programmed for warefare.
And as such they began to crash into each others, multiple squadrons on one single fighter, a few even flew back to their command ship.
Previously the entire Starfighter fleet was connected through the electromagnetic signature of the Providence, allowing it to easily verify allies and hostiles, additionally to being able to perfectly coordinate with their allies, knowing their position at all times.
But now each Vulture found themselves connected to their launch ships electromagnetic signature, and as such they did not possess the same coordination and knowledge of allies and hostile.
Said coordination was a dire requirement for VULTURE Starfighters, as they had no human brain and they completed extremely hard maneuvers, which although easily manageable, reduced it'a ships independent control.
And as such, when 30-50 VULTURE's struggle to control their own ships while turning at 260% degrees, accidents tend to happen.
This was also why following the CIS Flagships destruction, it was easy to pick off the remaining ships.
A pilot with 30 Vultures could just fly into another batch, and the Vultures wouldn't have enough control nor coordination with the other side to avoid any fatalities.
Basic protocol for Clone fighters was to temporarily disengage to get into safety, put the Vulture did not have any regard for their safety, and number one priority was the CIS Fleet's security and second aas Starfighters, third was allies Starfighters.
And as such, in a matter of 6 minutes, the 2000 remaining Vulture's were cleaned up by the 37 remaining Clone Fighter Squadrons, or 444 fighters.
Meanwhile, the bombers had been running crazy, the Vulture's deployed to prevent the bombers from destroying the capital ship, had abandoned all central duty when it exploded, and they returned to their own Lucrehulk to protect that against bombers.
Which meant the Munificent's with a total of 48 fighters at max capacity, was east targets for the 16 bomber squadrons flying around.
And as such, by the time the Clone Fighters cleaned up the first wave, all Munificent-Class Star Frigates of the CIS Christophsis Blockade was finished off.
Of course, the Acclamators helped immensely, working to suppress a lot of the Munificent's and providing constant pressure released upon the Munificent's.
And as such, when the fighters came to apprehend the 1500 remaining Vulture's protecting the 2 still fighting Lucrehulks, the bombers also launched furious attacks.
And the CIS Remaining Fleet was even more terrified, as the Cloaked Carrack that had dealt heavy damage to the Munificent's throughout the battle joined, and launched it's own torpedoes.
"Commander Cody, prepare Acclamator 1 and 2 to prepare for surface landing, order the Vanguard to form up in their respective hangars to board the LAAT's." I told the Marshal Commander and he quickly began shouting commands to the few clone army officers present on the bridge or available.
"Status of the Pelta-Class Frigates?" I asked a comms officer, I had directed all new of the Peltas to be held back unless they were attacked, destroyed or I asked otherwise.
"All 3 have reached the surface and provided sufficient relief supplies to the people of Christophsis." A comms officer said and I nodded.
"Inform the Republic High Command of our success in breaching the CIS Blockade." I told a comms officer before turning to the third one this mouthful.
"Status of our fleet." I told him.
"The 'Resolute' shields remain at 60%, The 'Negotiators' shields remain at 53%, The 'Redeemer's shield remains at 67%, The 'Defenders' shields remain at 71%, Acclamator-1 Shields remain at 78% and Acclamator-2 shields remains at 81%." He said.
"Good, order any Starfighter or Bombers which have suffered any Ship-damages to return to their launch ship for repairs." I told a comms officer.
And like that, the Battle passed as 3 minutes later the last Vulture was cleared out, the final Lucrehulk having fallen a minute ago.
"Position ourselves in Planetary Defense formation Aurek-13." I told them
This was essentially the previous formation, but this time the entire fleet would be on one line.
The Acclamators would be sent to the surface, but when they're finished loading, they will form up above and slightly behind the main formation.
The Main Heavy Line forming the 4 Venator-Class Star Destroyers, The 'Negotiator' and The 'Resolute' in the middle, The 'Resolute' flanked by The 'Defender' on it's starboard side and The 'Negotiator' flanked by The 'Redeemer' on it's port side.
"Have the Pelta-Class Transports load off all medical and relief supplies before heading off to the nearby Republic Station to pick up more." I said, directing it at a comms officer.
The CIS shouldn't be able to launch another assault on our lines so quick due to our supremacy in the area, especially following this victory.
We held Geonosis after the recent Battle, and now Christophsis.
Rodia was still neutral and Ryloth was yet to be invaded.
Additionally, the southern Separatist pocket had been extinguished by Trench and as such no reinforcements could come from there.
So the only ways to Christophsis that the CIS could take was either through Mon Gaza or Llanic, both of whom was occupied by the Republic, and there were multiple Republic planets between those two and the hyperspace they borded.
And as such we would know if a Separatist Fleet came by.
The Acclamators were currently descending through the surface, and bombers along with LAAT's had been deployed to relieve the current Defense forces of the Separatist Ground Forces.
Led by General Whorm.
Whom I likely suspected hated me due to me 'pacifying' his home world from Separatist Influence.
"Give the pilots some well-deserves rests, we'll begin bombing runs tomorrow." I told the flight bridge through a comms officer.
"Inform General Kenobi and General Skywalker of the departure of air-support until 1300 Military time tomorrow." I told a second communications officer.
"Give the word for most naval personal to retire for the night as well, except the vital positions, they'll hold for a bit longer." I told a third, and I turned around.
Leaving the bridge. After all, the battle was complete and my duties for now was done.
Now I had to fulfill the boring but necessary role of an admiral supporting a land-invasion, which mostly included sending bombers around and responding to any ground-based hangars.
And with that I walked into my office and then began proceeding with what majority of my time was spent doing.
Paperwork.
A new Venator? Need my signature
A new Acclamator? Need my signature
Splitting a Fleet into multiple Task Forces for offensive manoeuvres? Need my signature
A Jedi wants his own personal stolen ship on his Venator? Need my signature
Promotion of a Commander+ Naval Officer? Need my signature
And that was just for the Republic
A new law? Need my signature.
And a new law is created every god damn week by the Noble Assembly.
Stealing a SoroSuub Factory on Sullust? Need my signature
New Patrol Routes? Needs my signature
New Noble? Need my signature
Someone wishes to join? Need my personal zero diplomatic skills present.
All of these and a shit ton more, and all the spare time I had was spent studying military, reviewing the growth of the geopolitical situation, political state of the Senate, talking with Padme, supporting Palpatine.
And a shit ton of other stuff.
I also tried to spend some time writing blueprints to be created.
I was considering the Victory-Class Star Destroyer
And I might even considering building a Super Star Destroyer, but I personally don't think I will, I already possess too much firepower in my own fleets, instead I need more of them.
As I have to split them off way too often, as few existing fleets could match my 1st fleet or most others.
I pretty sure I could wipe the floor with the Christophsis fleet with my own 1st Fleet, even without the attack on the thin lines.
Additionally to that, I had to read every report of potential 'mystery weapons' of the CIS.
But as of yet it's position had yet to be discovered, but we were gaining proof that it was being built. But we'll see.
Other than that. I had a lot of spare time to get all this shit done and plan future plans at the same time.
While managing a planetary invasion, yay.
