"Jumping to hyperspace, Admiral." I heard a Clone Lieutenant Commander say.
"Affirmative, all cares to their Battle Stations!" I shouted as the crewmen began running around.
"What is the General's status?" I asked a crewman on the comms position.
"Admiral, Kenobi's Fleet reports zero vessels lost and they have taken out 4 Munificent's." One of them spoke.
"Admiral, Anakin's Fleet reports zero vessels lost and 5 Munificent's taken out." A second one reported.
"What does the cloaked ship reports in their formation?" I asked a third guy.
"Admiral, Commander Blackout reports that 1 Lucrehulk and 2 Munificent have been sent to each wing to reinforce, approximate arrival for them is 3 minutes." He said and I smiled at that.
"Upon arrival, send 2 Squadrons of bombers to each wing, if we're lucky we can take out one of the Lucrehulks." I said and they quickly got a move on.
"What's our total fighter complement?" I asked into the comms, to the fighter bridge.
"Admiral, we have 192 Starfighters, 16 Squadrons per Venator. The Defender and Redeemer both possess 4 Bomber Squadrons and 12 Fighter Squadrons, the Negotiator and Resolute possess 6 Bomber Squadrons and 10 Fighter Squadrons." The Commander in charge of the fighters responded.
"Hmm, good. The 'Defender' and The 'Redeemer' will each send 2 Fighter Squadrons to escort their own Bomber Squadrons, keep the remaining 10 in reserve." I told the fighter Commander.
"Understood, Admiral." He said.
"Gunnery Sergeant, prep all 4 Heavy Proton Torpedo Tubes and prepare to launch an Charlie-volley." I told him and he immediately got to work.
An Alpha Volley was to fire 6 repetitive torpedoes per tube on command.
A Beta-volley was to fire 4 repetitive torpedoes per tube on command.
A Charlie-volley was to fire 2 repetitive torpedoes per tube on command.
A Delta-volley was to fire 5.
A Echo-volley was 3
A Foxtrot-Volley was 1.
Alpha, Beta and Charlie volleys were what were used the most.
"Priority fire is the Lucrehulks, target will be designated upon arrival." I told him again.
"Affirmative, sir!" He shouted before ordering the gunners in the pit's.
"Time till arrival?" I asked the Hyperdrive navigator.
"00:01,3 minutes sir, military time."
1 and a half minute, too many zeroes not gonna lie. Would be more efficient with just saying one and a half minute, but I guess it's clones.
And with that I turned around and walked to the HoloPod.
Going over the updated Separatist Formation, they had taken the 3 vessels closest to the tips and sent them towards the battle.
All 8 Munificent's had turned onto the Venator and Acclamator on each wing, the Commander believing 8vs2 would work out for them.
Which would be correct, except that they had next to none fighter support, 120 V-19 Torrents heavily outclassed the enemy 384 Vulture's in addition. By the time the 4 Munificent not immediately engaged joined the rest, half of the fighters already engaging the Clones would be gone.
So 288 va 192 was far too easy, the Clones could win in 4v1's with minimal difficulty, but now it's something between 1v1 and 1v2.
And with Anakin and Kenobi on either side, they slaughtered the Vulture's.
Which was when they got support from the Lucrehulks.
But it would be too late, the bombers had already taken out 5 ships on Anakin's side and 4 on Kenobi's when the reinforcements were 3 minutes away.
The enemy was smart, and held off further assistance till fighter support came.
But there was truly no correct answer in that situation, the choice he made, and the one he could have would both end in casualties.
"15 seconds to exit!" I heard the navigator shout and I walked back onto the main bridge.
Just in time for the blue stream signalling the hyperspace to dissapear, replaced by the planet of Christophsis, and the blockade around it.
"Fire Charlie-volley on Lucrehulk in sector 8.-33." I told the Proton tordpedo launcher, these were heavy proton torpedoes, built for cruiser-class.
I had focused fire on the Lucrehulk on it's way to support Anakin.
"Status on Unit 2 and 3." I asked, as the scanners came In.
We had willingly jumped out close to the Battlefield.
"And activate shields and order Heavy Turbolasers 1 through 8 to pick their targets, priority fire is the Lucrehulks." I told them.
This gave the enemy ample time to detect our Cronau radiation and prepare for our arrival, but it also meant we didn't have to travel into space without being able to open fire.
"Team 2 report 78% fighting capability, Team 3 reports 80%." The communications officer said.
Meaning both teams had lost precisely 20% or little more of their fighting capability.
"2 Munificent's remain on the enemy ships starboard side and 3 on port side." He said, just in time for me to see 8 Proton Torpedoes fly out of our unit and head towards the Lucrehulk on the starboard side of the enemy flagship.
Meaning Anakin's unit.
"Order General Kenobi to clear up and prepare for a retreat. Inform General Skywalker that he has been permitted to continue fighting for the time being." I said.
The 'Defender' was on the left side of our fleet while The 'Redeemer' was on the right.
"Order The 'Redeemer' to focus fire on the Lucrehulk in Sector 8.-30." I said.
I then saw another 8 torpedoes exist the two ships and heading towards the Lucrehulk.
Just in time for the enemy to open fire on us, but no Torpdoes, surprising me.
"Open fire!" I shouted as I turned to the scan-Officer.
"Status on enemy fighters?" I asked.
"Admiral, the scanners sense a lot of electromagnetic radiation activating within the Lucrehulks." He said, that meant they were starting up the Vulture's.
"Launch Bomber Squadron 1 and 2, fighter Squadron 1 and 2 and send them to assist Kenobi. Order the 'Redeemer' to do the same to Skywalker, notify me when the first enemy Starfighter is released." I said and I saw the large hangar doors open and Starfighters rushed out.
"Kenobi has just taken out a Munificent." The scanner-Officer said.
"Shield integrity at 96%" The Shields officer said.
"Torpedoes have hit their mark, Lucrehulk in Sector -8.27 have suffered at least a 30% drop in shields according to scans." The Toroedo Sergeant said.
"Second wave incoming, Torpedo 10, 14, 15 have been shot down, rest have hit their mark. Estimated shield efficiency of Lucrehulk is at 50%, but they're keeping their course." The same officer said.
"Good, inform General Skywalker of these results, launch a separate ship beta-volley, The 'Defender' will target the Munificent on the port side of enemy flagship, The 'Redeemer' will target the Munificent on the starboard." I said, aimed at both the Torpedo Sergeant but also the communications officer.
"General Skywalker reports that they have taken out the remaining 2 Munificent's and are preparing to engage the reinforcements." A communications officer said.
I turned to him.
"Order General Skywalker to focus on taking the Lucrehulk out." I told the same guy.
He saluted me before running off.
"General Kenobi reports one, no zero Munificent's remaining. Our support bombers took the last out." Another one said, and with that I began thinking.
If Kenobi can take one out, then they'll only have 4 Lucrehulks, which will help us immensely.
"Order Kenobi to cautiously engage the reinforcements, if they cannot take them, order them to retreat." I told him before I pressed a button on my right hand, connecting myself to the flight Commander.
"Launch another 2 bomber squadrons to assist General Kenobi, order them to take the long way to avoid danger." I told him.
"Order acknowledged, Admiral." I heard back before cutting it.
The scan-officer then spoke up.
"Enemy Vulture's have been spotted, the scans show 1500 Vulture's coming from the 2 closest Lucrehulks." He said.
Shit, that means we're outnumbered 5-1, well. That's fine.
"Launch all fighters and create a defensive formation, order all fighters to focus on defense." I told them and the communications officer immediately contacted our and The 'Redeemers' flight bridge.
My eyes then roamed the Battlefield as I noticed miniature lasers coming from the tips of both CIS Blockade wings.
Seems Anakin and Obi-Wan engaged the reinforcements.
That means, if they won. The blockade would be cut down to 4 Lucrehulks and 6 Munificent's, with a Providence-Class flagship.
"Switch priority fire to all Munificent's in the main blockade." I told the gunners sergeant.
"Repeat the same orders to the 'Redeemer'." I told a communications officer.
"Status!" I shouted to all.
"Weapons output at 80%." The Gunnery Sergeant said, if we went any over that we would overheat out reactors soon enough.
"Shields at 82%" The Shield-officer said.
"Hull at 100%."
"Redeemer's shield at 78%" A comms officer said.
"0 Fighter Casualities." Another comms officer said after getting confirmation from the flight bridge.
But that made sense as they hadn't fought yet.
"Admiral, the fighters will clash in approximately 20 seconds." The Flight Bridge said through a comms officer.
"Prepare all 54 Point-Defense Lasers, order the DBY-Heavy Turbolasers to ignore incoming fighters and focus on the Munificent's." I told the gunners.
I then turned to Anakin's side as I saw a large explosion.
"Admiral, Skywalkers Unit report the Lucrehulk is down, they're cleaning up the Munificent's now." A comms officer said.
"Good, order Skywalker to retreat behind the moon when he is finished." I told the same guy.
The moon was slightly behind us and to the left, or right when we turn around.
"Status on Kenobi's unit?" I asked.
"Lucrehulk shields at 50%, the Negotiator at 42% and Acclamator at 50%." A comms officer.
"Our last 2 Bomber Squads just arrived to help Kenobi." The Comms officer talking with the fighter bridge said.
The Battle had now gone on for 5 minutes, or that's for my fleet. While it had been ongoing for 10 minutes for Kenobi and Anakin.
And 30 seconds after Anakin defeated his Lucrehulk, the Munificents were reported fallen as well.
"Order Anakin to hurry back." I told a comms officer.
I then turned to the gunner pit.
"Focus on the Munificent identified as Battlecruiser 10." I said, ordering fire upon the Munificent at the tip of their current formation, between the forces attacking Kenobi and the center of the blockade.
"Order The 'Redeemer' to focus fire on Munificent identified as Battlecruiser 9." I told a comms officer, whom quickly got to work.
"Increase laser output to 90%, we'll take those two Battlecruisers out before we retreat!" I shouted, however I still kept my calm as I stood Infront of the windows with my hands behind my back.
"Admiral, General Skywalker has performed the mini-jump and is out of enemy firing range, he is going behind the moon as we speak." A comms officer said.
"Good, what about Kenobi?" I asked.
"He just finished his Lucrehulks, his cruisers are retreating while the bombers are finishing off the Munificent, they are preparing for the mini-jump." He said.
"Good, what about our fighters?" I asked a comms officer and he relayed my order to the flight bridge.
"We've lost 3 Fighter Squadrons and 1 Bomber Squadron, the 'Redeemer' has suffered 1 Fighter Squadrons lost and no bombers." He said after getting confirmation.
"Good, prepare to retreat when Obi-Wan has escaped behind the moon, inform the fighters to not stray too far away." I said.
The bombers finishing up the Munificent's on Kenobi's side had hyperdrives and were more capable of performing them due to their size than a Venator.
"Kenobi has mini-jumped and is out of enemy range." He said.
"Good, what is the status of the enemy blockade?" I asked the scanners officer.
"1 Providence-Class Dreadnaught, 4 Lucrehulk-Class Battleships and 5 Munificent-Class Star Frigate, one of the Frigates are heavily wounded." He said.
"Alright, recall all fighters and launch a Foxtrot-valley on the wounded Munificent, include The 'Redeemer' in the volley." I said.
Meaning we'd launch 8 torpedoes, 4 from each ship.
And like that I stood and watched as the fighters began returning to our hangars, additionally I followed the torpedoes the last second before hitting the Munificent and exploding it, finishing it off.
"Turn us around, and head for the moon." I said as the last fighter began heading back.
However, at the same time. The Vulture's began ramming themselves into both of our cruisers.
Us taking heavy damage.
As we turned around and the last fighter entered I heard the reports.
"The Defender, shield capacity at 20%, the Redeemer has lost it's shield and hull at 80%." He said.
I sighed at that.
"Get us out of here." I said as we began going full speed ahead, even our heavy turbolasers began focusing on the Vulture, our shields going down to 10% and the Redeemers hull down to 70% and the loss of a single DBY-827 Heavy Turbolasers cannon.
Before they were called back as we found ourselves behind the moon.
It was a success, but we still suffered a lot of damage.
