Chereads / Star Wars: Senator / Chapter 24 - Escape of Naboo(2)

Chapter 24 - Escape of Naboo(2)

"My Lord, scouts show that the Trade Federation has deployed about 1000 C-9979 Landing crafts to the surface. Which equals to about 4 236 000 B1 Battle droids, with about 11 000 Multi-Troop Transports and 28 000 Platoon Attack Crafts." Robb reported as the commander of my security unit. Alexander as the general commander couldn't be with me at all times, especially under no-communications scenarios as he led 2000 men.

"What about their tanks?" I asked and he continued.

"They have about 114,000 Armored Assault Tanks or AATs. They have also yet to deploy fighters and bombers." He said and I nodded.

"Alright, continue to scout their movement. Jon, find a quick hiding space that can hide all of us for about a few hours, just make sure it's close to the Palace." I said and he nodded and flew off with 2 troops.

Now this is surprising. If I remember correctly then during the scene of the invasion of Naboo barely 30 C-9979s were deployed. Perhaps it's the editing of Disney.

Or it can be due to our alliance and support of the Naboo Federation. Palpatine definitely had some spies in Amidala council and probably knew of our declaration of support.

However, it made sense as Naboo had multiple cities and military bases. My limited information told me they barely had 10 000 men inside the Naboo Capital and the rest were spread throughout the planet. They would also be forced to deploy some to the moons as well.

If I'm correct then the Federation should remove a few Lucrehulks later, when they took control of Naboo, which allowed the easy win due to the exposed droid control center.

But they might leave a few more to contend against my navy, however, I kept the Valiant building plans secret, so they probably don't know about it.

But honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if they do as Damask Holdings which Palpatine now controls owns significant shares in Kuat, but I paid extra so I can only hope.

Soon enough Jon came back and we went into hiding.

If my heat scanners were correct then the talk went exactly according to canon. The droids entered, and Padme surrendered. They were then escorted down the stairs where the Viceroy stood, and Padme's double talked with him.

They were then escorted away, but instead of about 8 droids they now faced an escort of 48 B1 Battle Droids, a full squad.

Soon enough Jon came up to me.

"Your Grace, there are 2 unidentified life forms closing in on the Senator. My guess is that they are Jedi due to their increased physical ability and agility." He said and I nodded.

"Prepare an ambush on the droid escort. Wait for the Jedi to make their move then assist them." I said as I took out my dual Commando Pistols.

We were situated on the roof, and Padme was about to pass under a short civilian bridge. There were about 5 of us on each side of the civilian pass.

Jon beside me began whispering.

"The Jedi are moving onto the bridge, they are preparing to jump."

"Move out." I said as I jumped down. He jumped down 2 seconds later, having to signal his men.

The Queen was in the front alongside the Governor, while Padme was situated in the middle of the escort, between the Guards and the handmaidens.

The droids had 9 in front, 9 in the back, and 15 on each side. It is exactly the same as in the original but with a lot more droids.

I jumped in the middle of the back formation, shooting 2 of the droids at each corner of their guard formation.

As I landed I started my boot-rockets slowing my descent. I then put my pistols in my holsters and reached toward my gauntlet with my left hand.

When I reached the ground, I crouched down and pressed a red button.

Red flames scorched out of my gauntlet and I spun around on my knees, putting the last 7 droids on fire.

They began running to all sides but they quickly malfunctioned and shut down due to the heat or it destroying their batteries.

I looked around to see my 12 men engaged in a fight with the 30 droids on the sides while presumably Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon were demolishing the 9 forward battle droids.

I looked at the guards in front of me standing still.

Are they completely stupid? They're supposed to fight back.

I just looked at them and facepalmed.

"Hellooo? Are you there?? You're meant to fight back." I said which shook them awake from their automatic film trance `Stand and do nothing` before 3 of them jumped a droid about to get pierced by Jon's force staff.

They are fucking dumb. Why would they focus on a droid clearly being put down… I exclaimed internally.

I just shrugged before moving casually towards the Jedi. I fully trusted my men to slaughter any droids getting close, but even if they didn't the chances of a droid hitting my head or a weak point in my armor were low.

After 20 seconds the fighting was over. We killed about 21 just jumping down, the Jedi took another 9 so we killed about 18 in 20 seconds, that's good enough.

When I arrived the Jedi had already approached Amidala. They were leaving the street towards the right.

Well now I felt excluded, they didn't even tell me. Might just let Qui-Gon die cause of that.

Wait. Should I let him die or nah?

On one side It would be good training for my 10 men to fight a Sith. Oh, that's a great idea.

On the other hand, it would change the canon as Anakin would be taught by Qui-Gon and they might not even let him be trained which would be even worse.

How about I sabotage Obi-Wan? Yes, that's a good plan, the canon doesn't change and I get to fight a sith.

Now that might feel villainous that I let Qui-Gon die when I can change it. But the truth is. He's meant to die, he will die somehow. Either Palpatine will assassinate him later or something.

And honestly, Qui-Gon is one of the better Jedi's. He's still a space wizard hypocrite betting his entire life on a single individual who won a race. Like buddy...

Yeah, let us allow the old man to die peacefully. It will be a good and required lesson for Obi-Wan.

I said, but now I honestly feel old, talking about important experiences and learning phases.

Cutting my thoughts off I hurried after the Jedi and mister soon-to-be-dead.

My 12 guards followed me. No casualties. Good for them.

I joined them just in time for Bibble to say.

"Your negotiations seemed to have failed, Ambassador."

"The negotiations never took place. It's urgent we make contact with the Republic." Qui-Gon said.

"And how will you do that, Jedi Master Jinn? The entire planet is being orbitally jammed." I said and he turned to me.

"And whom may you be?" He asked narrowing his eyes.

Robb stepped up.

"Count Thalron Veridian, Lord of House Veridian and Leader of Thyferra," I said and something dawned on your face.

"Ah, you're the ones who slaughtered, arrested, and tortured workers of the Xucphra?" He said and Obi-Wan got angry.

Ah. Rumors seems to have spread. But I suppose I did order that. Any resistance was quietly removed. Sadly not quiet enough. A lot of families sued us after that.

Luckily I'm rich.

"Well, in my defense, they did directly attack my family, killed my father, harmed the republic's interest, and killed about, eh, 10,000 people?" I said and he narrowed his eyes even more, asking for an explanation.

"Due to my father's death and Xucphra hiring pirates, they stole a batch of bacta meant to save a community suffering from a skin disease. Well let's say they stopped suffering, but because they never felt anything again." I said and he calmed down, and Obi-Wan got an angry face, but not directed at me.

"Well, back to the matter at hand. Do you have any transports to get off-world?" Qui-Gon asked.

"In the main hangar. This way." Quarsh said as he directed the way.

Soon enough we arrived. About 120 droids were centered here. A lot more than the original 30 or some.

"There are too many of them." Quarsh said.

"That won't be a problem. Your Highness, Your Grace, under the circumstances I suggest you come to Coruscant with us." Qui-Gon said to me and fake-queen.

"Well, I'm heading that way either way." I said to Qui-Gon.

"Count Veridian here convinced me to do so as well." The fake queen said.

Qui-Gon directed us to go while the Governor and the other officials stood behind us.

"Be careful, Governor." The Queen said as we walked through the hangar blaster doors.

And with that, we just walked through the doors, however, the Jedi's plan to get as close as possible failed.

"Open fire at the prisoners!" The droid commander shouted as 120 blasters turned towards us.

I quickly jumped to the side, evading the blasters as I took cover behind a crate. There were multiple crates here for some reason. Plot armor. And people were hiding behind it.

None of my guards died but 4 Naboo Guards did.

I took out my pistols and began firing back at the droids.

Luckily they stood out in the open and about 20 of them were focusing on keeping the prisoners calm.

"Robb! Help the Jedi!" I shouted as I saw Qui-Gon and Obi run forward, my 12 men followed soon after.

I started my rocket boots and flew upwards.

I saw that a big-ass yacht was situated in the middle and I jumped on top of it. I began firing at the limited droids in my killzone.

Meanwhile, my 12 men were busy dodging and blocking lightsaber bolts. I could see the confusion on both of the Jedi's faces as they blocked blaster bolts and fought like a Jedi.

However, it soon became apparent that they weren't Jedi, as 12 droids surrounded one of my men who got too engaged in the battle.

He tried to use his rockets to fly away but he took too long and he was blasted from all sides.

Like this, the battle continued for 3 whole minutes. The Jedi and my guards single-handedly killed over 80 droids. After my first guy died I began focusing on supporting my guards, saving 3 others from a similar fate. Robb stepped up his game and began organizing our men instead of leaving it to their skills.

Soon enough the pilots were freed and I jumped down.

"Get on board!" Qui-Gon shouted and me and my men and I ran on.

"Robb! Make sure we steal the best rooms first!" I shouted with laughter as we all sprinted through the ship, wanting to capture the best rooms first.

I used my rocket boots to fly through the ship and captured a room in the same corridor as the queen, which was the most luxurious area.

I marked my territory by putting my armor down and switching to my formal attire again. Which Jon somehow managed to get with him.

As I took on my white coat I sensed that the ship started through the ship levitating upwards, which undoubtedly would be noticed by someone inside it.

Well, this was an interesting battle. It was more fun than the original droids guarding pilots INSIDE the hangar, which is stupid as the hangar is like their second home and the starfighter is like their wife. What kind of maniac guarded pilots in their homes?

I walked towards the cockpit which wasn't a long walk as this ship was quite smaller than the CR-90.

"What is going on?" I asked Qui-Gon as I entered.

"There are multiple Lucrehulks surrounding Naboo but 6 of them came to engage us." He said and I nodded.

"I suggest you prepare the maintenance droids as they likely will be forced on our hull to repair damage."

The pilot nodded to his co-pilot and he pressed a button, starting them up.

The event then became the same as the canons as we barely escaped due to R2-D2 and we headed to Tatooine due to the lack of Trade Federation presence there.

Well, maybe I should start my gang enterprise? Nah, it's too easy. Gang isn't that fun when you can't fight big naval battles.

Well, let the young skywalker cook Padme into his waifu at the age of 8, you gotta respect him for that. No matter the cocky idiot I wanna hit he becomes in the Attack of the clones.

Though he was dope in the series.
