Keitaro watched as what seemed to be birds could be seen flying around in the beautiful sky constructed by his domain.
He liked it, his domain was heavily illusion-based base which meant he could change the inside of his domain as much as he wanted, and the sure hit inside the domain would always remain the same.
One thing he got from his domain was the simple fact that all of his abilities get a buff in there, His domain also either massively amps or slows down someone's perception at random intervals, so basically if someone were to get caught in it, it was gg.
On the surface, it may not look overpowered but being able to disrupt someone's hand to eyes coordination was quite busted, especially if you fuck up their reaction time.
Plus being inside the domain you were basically at the mercy of Keitaro, everything inside the domain could be an illusion created by Keitaro and unlike the outside world, due to some slight binding vows that restricted Keitaro's use of those techniques outside the domain.
Every illusion inside the domain was real...so if Keitaro were to spawn, I don't know...like 50 version of himself...his opponent would have to fight 50 Keitaro...granted they would be weaker, at around the level of a grade one or so, but that still was overpowered.
As long as what he is making falls in line with his ability it will be fine, so he can't give himself infinity in there...best he could do is make a barrier around his body that teleports anything that gets close away.
Keitaro's eyes then landed on Edgar, the young boy seemed to have been lost in the beauty of the domain, his eyes were as bright as the sun.
It looked so pretty, even after Keitaro had deactivated his domain, the boy seemed to still be in awe at what he had just witnessed.
Edgar looked up at Keitaro, his small hand tugging at the hem of Keitaro's clothes.
"Sensei! Your domain.....it was like a dream! How did you make the sky look so real? And the flowers! And the stars! Can you make it look like anything you want? Can I have a domain like that one day?"
Keitaro looked at his apprentice, he felt proud of him, at this moment however his apprentice just looked like the cutest little creature on planet Heart, he just looked so cute that Keitaro wanted to squeeze his cheek.
Keitaro found his innocence quite enduring. He knelt down to Edgar's level, resting his hand on the boy's head.
"My domain is illusion-based, Edgar. That means I can shape the inside to look like whatever I want it to be. Each domain has its own quirk so I am sure your domain will look very good"
Edgar's eyes widened even more at the idea, a mix of wonder and determination could be seen in his eyes.
"I want to have my own domain! I want it to be just as amazing as yours, Sensei!"
Keitaro felt his heart melt, this was just cute.
He smiled warmly before ruffling Edgar's hair. "You will get there one day. Just keep training, and remember to stay true to yourself. Once a jujutsu sorcerer starts faltering from their belief, they usually tend to die."
As the last shards of Keitaro's domain vanished from existence, Keitaro could see a white bird flying away with what seemed to be an olive branch in his beak.
Keitaro looked down to see, the unconscious body of Alistair sprawled on the cold stone floor.
The man seems to be breathing steadily. Keitaro walked closer to the man before effortlessly lifting the man onto his shoulder.
It seemed as if the seal he had placed on Alistair's chest had managed to keep his soul in his body, that seal was placed there in order to keep Alistair's consciousness alive, and he was glad it worked fine.
The man may have been a dick but welp that was not his job to judge him, he will hand the man to his wife, while he knew the man currently wouldn't be able to practice jujutsu or recover his curse energy for the next 3 months...
And he was handing him over to his wife who was a grade 2 sorcerer.....who was also quite protective of her son...He felt some pity for Alistair....this man was cooked.
"Let's head back," Keitaro said, his voice calm and steady. "Your mother is probably worried."
Edgar nodded his head, Keitaro however could notice the flicker of uncertainty crossing the boy's face. Though he had saved the boy and showed him kindness, there was still a part of the boy who wasn't sure about trusting his dad.
After all, it wasn't that long ago that his dad tried to sell his soul to a curse.
Despite Keitaro's reassurances, Edgar could not help but feel a pang of fear toward his father.
As the two of them made their way back to the mansion, they could feel the cold early morning air brushing up against their face.
As they neared the mansion, Keitaro spotted a figure standing at the entrance of the mansion.
It was Eleonor, Alistair's wife and currently her usually composed and distant demeanor was now replaced by one of visible worry.
Her eyes were searching the darkness as if looking for someone, not it seemed like she was hoping to find someone.
Once she saw Edgar, her expression softened with relief.
She rushed forward, her usually stern features now melting as she knelt to embrace her son.
"Edgar, thank the heavens you're safe,"
She seemed to have entered some sort of very protective state as even Edgar looked surprised by his mother's show of attention.
He did not really expect to receive such a show of love from her, his small arm nonetheless wrapped itself around his mother in a warm hug.
After a few moments, Eleanor pulled back, her expression hardening upon noticing Alistair's unconscious form on Keitaro's shoulder.
Wow...she looked pissed.
"Hand him over...I never thought he would go as far as killing his own son for this..."
What seemed to be multiple stone swords seem to have been formed....oh so that's why Edgar had the construction curse technique.
"I just want to talk to him," She said in a sweet voice.
That knife however looks awfully sharp for just talking.
He gave the woman a calm look, he was not going to excuse the man's action but at the same time, he felt like punishing someone while they were unconscious was not really a punishment.
"He'll answer for it, but let him rest for now. Scolding him when he's unconscious won't do much good. Trust me, he'll have a lot to think about when he wakes up."
Eleonor's anger simmered, but she nodded her head in understanding she knew that now wasn't the time. She then turned her attention back to Keitaro, her expression softening with gratitude. "Thank you... from the bottom of my heart, Keitaro. You saved Edgar. I... I don't know how I could ever repay you."
He gave her his classic trademark smile.
"It's nothing really"
She avoided his gaze and slightly lowered her gaze, what seemed to be a red blush could be seen on her cheek.
His smile felt warm, it felt safe.
A woman who would barely show her emotions was currently seen twiddling her thumbs.
A/N let me give a hint, Keitaro used nature energy...and that's it.
