The first thing that Keitaro did upon arriving was pretty simple, he had to visit Alistair and basically give the man a breakdown of everything that had happened, a report one might say.
As he stepped inside the opulent office, the air was thick with the scent of expansive cigars and leather?... Alistair looked a bit more haggard than usual, standing infront of a painting of what seemed to be a silver-haired man.
Of course, the man was seen wearing a suit that Keitaro could describe as probably being very expensive.
It was a suit that complemented the man's silver hair and silver eyes. The man looks quite elegant which at this point might have been granted due to the man's background.
Upon noticing him, Alistair looked at Keitaro before saying.
"You are late" Keitaro however did not really seem to be bothered at all by it, he had decided to take a small nap before meeting the man as he was tired.
He ignored the man's remark before opening his mouth and saying "I am not your servant, I was tired and I took a nap, if you have a problem with that, then do something about it."
Those were the words that left Keitaro's mouth, he usually wouldn't speak like this to people but this man was getting on his nerves with the way he spoke to him.
He had to make it known that the man was dancing very high up in the sky on a very skinny rope.
Apart from the fact that the man seemed to not really like the way he was addressed, he said nothing else, it had become abundantly clear to him that unlike most people he had hired so far this man standing infront of him may not have as much influence as him, but his sheer might more than make up for it.
Alistair did not like his chances against him, however, this could be an opportunity, if he could secure this chance then the bonus his family would receive would be huge.
100 million euros was pocket change to his family and thus he could afford to give that money to Keitaro as this man proved to be worth every pound.
Keitaro started his report on everything that had happened, in order to make things much simpler, Keitaro opted to make a barrier around them.
The whole area turned into what seemed to be a movie cinema as a movie started playing.
The movie in question was just everything that had happened during the mission, granted Keitaro edited some parts out, but all in all, this was everything that had happened.
When he finished, there was a long silence. Alistair stared at him, his expression unreadable. Finally, he spoke.
"The pills," he said, his voice low. "The ones you gave Edgar."
Keitaro was just waiting for this question to be asked at this point, he knew the man would start asking about them even if they were only shone for a brief moment in the whole 16-minute or so-long movie.
Gosh, he loved making barriers, they were just so goddam versatile, making a whole cinema just with barriers was just astonishing to him, he liked it so much.
He wonders if he could reproduce certain aspects of curse energy with barriers.
Could he by any chance store an attack in a seal and only release it once the correct conditions were met?
Better yet could he make a barrierless domain, though thinking about it he wondered what sort of binding vows would have to be made to make something like that.
It should be easier for him than Gojo as unlike Gojo domain expansion was not lethal and thus easier to make.
Also, it would be more useful to him as his domain just extended his range and use, meanwhile for Gojo, it just meant more people getting brain damage and Gojo wasnt like that.
'I am getting sidetracked' Keitaro thought to himself as he realized he went from speaking about pills to thinking of barrierless domain expansion.
"They're still in the experimental stage," Keitaro replied cautiously. "There's a limited supply."
Alistair leaned forward, his eyes glinting with interest. "I'm willing to pay a substantial sum for a larger batch," he said, his voice smooth and persuasive.
" I am guessing you want me to send you the newest pills when they are made" Keitaro added to which the man nodded his head.
"Call it an investment" Alistair replied to which Keitaro nodded.
"500 million euro over the course of 5 years"Alistair added to which Keitaro shook his head saying.
"3 years, considering that the prototype themself have better healing than your best healer, and her pay is in the millions, those pills are worth a lot more"
"475million"
"Don't you have a rival family next door, I wonder how much they will offer"
..
..
..
...
Welp in the head Keitaro did manage to make himself a good deal. 600 million over the course of 3 and a half years under the close that he wouldn't sell them to their rival.
Wow, business wasn't it just fun.
However, they never mention anything about him selling it elsewhere...
Wow, he felt greedy for thinking like that.
A/N...welp....75,270,000,000 yen.
The Alistair family should be worth around 60 if not 70 billion euro.
They are a sorcerer family for one, they basically control the British government behind closed doors for 2, and they have the monopoly on curse energy for 3.
They have been around for a long time exploiting a shit ton of resources from people.
So I do think 600 million euro to them is like pocket change, frankly I wouldn't think they notice if 100k was taken from their bank account.
