As Keitaro entered the house, he had a million of questions in his mind. Even if Shoko looked relaxed he couldn't help but be nervous.
It wasn't something he could control, he felt like a kid that got into deep trouble and didnt know how to react at all.
He mostly felt very stressed, he wondered about a lot of questions.
What did she think of all this? Was she mad? Did she think he was an idiot?
The usual stuff for an overthinker like him to be thinking about, any less and he wouldn't be classified as an overthinker.
Shoko on the other hand seemed to be as calm as ever, she took her seat at the table, lit up her cigarette, and with the smoke swirling lazily in the air.
She took a puff before she looked at him with a soft look.
"Keitaro," she said, her voice soft yet direct. "Is what Satoru said true?"
Keitaro was sweating a bit.
Wasn't he just cooked now?
He hesitated for a bit but nodded his head saying. "Yeah, it is."
What seemed to be a soft smile was seen on his face, she gazed at him for longer before taking a puff of her cigarette and saying.
"When were you planning on telling me?" She leaned back on her chair as she asked that question, after all she had all the time in the world, she was not busy today.
"I tried.....a few times actually" Keitaro admitted s he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"But I couldn't find the right moment. I didn't want it to seem like I was forcing anything."
Shoko took another puff of her cigarette before she looked at him and said.
"You know you can tell me anything right"
He nodded his head, she then gave him a rather tired yet quite bored look while saying.
"Next time...no secrets"
"I promise, no more secrets," He replied softly.
"Good"
"I have a question"
"What is it?"
"If I can't keep secrets from you, how am I supposed to plan a surprise birthday party and dates" He said with his usual calm but clumsy look.
Shoko found him adorable, cute even, to think that this was what he thinking about.
Her eyes landed on his unlocked phone, within arm's reach of her.
He had placed there the second they started talking, as if by instinct.
She couldn't help but find it sweet.
He felt like a walking green flag.
Suddenly she remembered something, a smile appeared on her face before she said.
"Remember my promise," She said in a soft tone.
It took Keitaro a moment before the words echoed in his mind.
Her reply to his what if rang true in his mind.
'I would probably just kiss you'
The blush that came to his face was quick...
She found this whole thing quite fun.
She stood up from her seat and walked closer to him.
"Oh, it seems like you remember huh" She added as she used Rct to heal her lungs along with expelling the smoke from her body.
She then sat on his lap before she held him by his cheek, he looked so adorable.
To think that this man was one of the strongest people alive currently.
He had an ego that was for sure, someone does not contend with the strongest without having some sort of ego, some sort of pride that sets them apart from others.
A drive you might say.
Keitaro's drive had always been about using his power to protect others, he probably had blamed himself for Riko's death, if he was the one to go with her then Toji would have never killed her.
After all, he could have just teleported her far away...even though that would leave him drained and out of Ct.
Which probably would have ended in his death, but he still blamed himself.
She had noticed it, every since that day, instead of distancing himself from others unlike a certain white hair sorcerer, he instead wanted to create stronger bonds.
He wanted to protect what he had left with all his might.
Unlike the other 2....he was willing to ask for help when needed, he had come to her a few weeks after his grandma's death.
He did not just keep all of it bottle inside, she played with his yellow hair a loving look on her face.
"Time to deliver on my promise"
As she uttered those words, she inched herself closer to him and the next second their lips met.
The world around them seemed to come to a standstill, the only thing that mattered right now was the both of them and nothing else.
She wrapped her arms around his neck as she leaned in closer.
The kiss lasted 15 seconds before it ended.
Shoko had a pleased look on her face once the kiss had ended.
She had enjoyed it, and she did not like the idea of it ending.
She wanted a bit more, he somehow tasted like mint and strawberry, as fresh as mint and sweet as strawberry.
She slowly got out of his lap, leaving behind a...well..mess, those would be the words to describe Keitaro's current state...He put Tomato to shame for the way he was brimming red.
As Shoko reached the corner, she turned her head back at him saying.
"You coming..."

A/N...They did not fuck.....just made out, there is no need to rush the development, as this story is not a one-shot and actually a fully fledge story, I do not want to rush to the sex, I want the romance to be there and feel believable and when it happens, I want it to feel natural and like it had been built up to.
