In the throne room, the King rubbed his forehead as he watched his ministers and nobles file out.
A meeting had just been concluded and as usual the various factions within his kingdom had butted heads not only amongst themselves but himself.
Everyone always wanted to twist things in their favor, using 'reasonable' suggestions as pretext.
Of course, the recent happenings were another source of fuel for the suggestion factories that were the nobles' and ministers' minds.
For one, although they had succeeded in killing the "Monster Queen", the number of soldiers that lost their lives in the confrontation with the monsters was really beyond expectations.
As the Royalist faction had argued - it had been a good fate on their part to have struck so now, otherwise if they had waited any longer, who knows how strong that civilization of monsters would have gotten?
