"Sir Damon." greeted two Deacons stationed at the entrance to a cathedral at the western part of the capital city of the Sword Kingdom.
Damon, coming down from a black-brown carriage, nodded at them and replied; "Deacon Carson. Deacon Adams."
Stopping at arms' length before them, he offered them handshakes which they readily reciprocated; "It has been a while. How has life been treating you two?"
Adams, the blonde one smiled, seemingly touched by his concern, and playfully slapped the man's broad shoulder; "Sir Damon, you already know how it goes."
"We are simply like housekeepers, helping to organize this event every year without even getting to enjoy anything from our efforts. You Paladins come and dine and wine while all we can do is smell and look from a distance."
