They emerged from the car one by one, their eyes fixed on the towering, weathered structure known as the whispering well. The sign on the side of the building confirmed its name, and as the wind picked up, the sign let out an eerie creaking noise. The chirping of birds in the background seemed to grow louder with each passing moment.
"Wow, this place gives me the chills," Lilithra remarked, her voice barely above a whisper. Suddenly, a menacing growl echoed from behind them, causing everyone to whirl around. A swarm of birds burst out of the surrounding woods, taking flight into the darkening sky.
