"Nikita, you've been summoned," Alita announced as she stepped into Nikita's room. Nikita was on her knees, facing a grand mirror adorned with a white cloth and accompanied by large white candles on each side. Her eyes were closed, hands clasped together, and she muttered something under her breath. Ignoring Alita's message, Nikita continued her murmurs.
Alita watched her for a moment, shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot. She knew she couldn't go back and report that Nikita had ignored her; that would surely result in Nikita's demise. So, Alita remained silent by the door, taking in the surroundings. She often wondered why Nikita had her own private quarters. It wasn't as spacious as the other chambers in the castle, but it boasted a comfortable bed, large windows, a side table, and most importantly, privacy.
