They arrived at a long-abandoned site, the car's tires kicking up dust and debris as they pulled in. Dominique, Duke, and Nadia quickly exited the vehicle, their movements swift and purposeful. Dominique and Duke carefully lifted Grimgold out of the back seat, where his blood had badly stained the passenger seats.
Nadia, meanwhile, began to work on creating a portal, her hands moving with a quiet confidence as she followed Tyler's instructions. Finally, a shimmering portal appeared before them, its edges pulsing with a soft blue light.
"Okay, guys, let's go," Nadia said to the others once she was done. "Hurry, hurry"
Dominique and Duke nodded, and together they carried Grimgold towards the portal. As they stepped through the shimmering veil, Nadia followed close behind, her eyes fixed on Grimgold's pale face.
Just as she was halfway through the portal, a familiar voice called out to her, "Nadia!"
