Ryker nodded, but his silence spoke volumes. Duke felt a slight sense of relief wash over him, thinking that the conversation had gone relatively well. But he was dead serious about every word he had said. He darted a grateful glance at Tyler, who responded with his signature enthusiastic grin. Duke couldn't help but wonder why Tyler was being so secretive, and how he managed to maintain his cheerful demeanor despite the darkness he had revealed to him. If Tyler hadn't confessed his past actions himself, Duke wouldn't have believed it. He seemed too innocent, too naive, to be capable of such things. Duke made a mental note to keep a close eye on Tyler, to be cautious of his intentions.
Just then, Nadia's voice cut through the tension, her tone laced with sarcasm. "So, you've all bought yourselves something to pass the time, but what about me? Am I just supposed to serve you lots like your personal maid?"
When they didn't answer, Nadia scoffed in disbelief.
