The door creaked as Nadia peered her head through the opening, her eyes scanning the area as she tried to find Dominique, given this was the location he stormed off to earlier.
She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw the back of his head. He sat still, somewhat motionless, as he bent down with his head between his legs and his hands covering the back of his head.
She took careful steps not to startle him or cause him to panic but the closer she got, the louder his sobs became
Her heart broke to the sound of his silent wails. His shoulder vibrated as he cried underneath his breath
"No no no" Dominique muttered to himself.
She got closer to him causing him to turn, lifting his wet teary eyes to meet hers "Leave me alone" He commanded, his voice breaking as he spoke
"I don't think I'd forgive myself if I left you alone while you were a visible mess" She said to him as she took a seat beside him
