We arrived after an exhausting walk up the temple stairs. We were a few steps behind since some of the people were exhausted from carrying items.
The women had gathered into a straight line facing the temple as our exhausted selves finally had a chance to sit down. A man in a white temple robe approached us.
He looked awfully young—too young to be a priest in a temple.
"Dearest people of Cordelia! We thank you for your visit. The high priest of the goddess Cordelia welcomes you," the man behind the high priest spoke.
"I'm Camael, the high priest."
We waited for him to say a few more words since these priests usually prepare a grand speech, but to everyone's surprise, he was silent.
All he did was smile silently after introducing himself.
"You can leave your belongings here; our people will carry them from here on out," again the man behind him spoke.
