Esmond POV:
As I told them what happened, I felt like I shouldn't say anything; I wanted to hide it, but knowing that it would only make me suffer, it was better to let it all out.
It seems Gesine knew the moment I said I was sorry, maybe because I said "I'm sorry" multiple times that night.
Remembering it makes my heart ache a bit. I should've done better; instead, I made the situation much, much worse than it should have been.
"You beat up Gesine because you thought she was cheating on you?" Cassandra angrily pointed out.
I don't really like the words "beat up," but that was close to reality, so it's fine.
"I misjudged the situation and was overcome by anger." I really didn't think much other than brutally beating them up.
I took a glance at Gesine, and she was silent on the matter. Keres was unfazed; she was even yawning as if she were bored.
