Chapter 52 - Dwelling in the past

Gesine filled me in on all that had happened while I was unconscious. There wasn't much that occurred, but I did learn about Cassandra's hatred for me, even though she's acting all lovey-dovey. I guess there's still some resentment left from what I did to her.

It was my responsibility to protect people, and it's also my responsibility to protect my companions, with Cassandra being no exception.

I should watch what I say in front of her from now on. I just feel guilty, even though I saved her from death.

I sat on the bed without moving since the girls told me not to move or leave my bed. I was completely healed; two days' rest is really enough for me.

But I guess they are just that worried about me. While sitting down, I saw Cassandra carrying food and supplies, which must be for our journey. She was about to leave until I stopped her.

"Cassandra... Wait!" She stopped in her tracks and looked at me.
