"Ugh!" Luna laid her head down on top of her books, a massive headache surging at her temples.
Why is college so hard? The core classes are easy, not that I have many of those left to take. It's my major-specific classes that are giving me a headache!
Her phone buzzed just then. Luna pulled herself up off her books and answered it, forgetting to look at the Caller ID. "Hello?"
"Luna? This is Elder Lent. Are you available tonight?"
Luna glanced down at her open books and the unfinished assignment, her headache intensified just by looking at it. "Yes, I am. What do you need?"
"Good. Good. There's been sightings of a lone vampire active in a college town close to you. I'll send you the address. Thank you for your help. Goodbye, dear."
An incoming text came in soon after. It had a detailed report of past victims and the areas the vampire was spotted in.
