Blue and white lights twinkled into existence in the corner of her office. When they disappeared, Jackson was standing in their place. His beautiful white hair was colored a generic blonde, one that she had become used to seeing on him when he was out in public, and not performing his High Council duties.
"What are you wearing?"
Jackson normally wore high-end suits that were tailored to him. Whether it was during his High Council duties or his normal everyday duties at his family's company, he always wore a suit. But today, he was dressed in a store-bought collared shirt made from cotton and off-the-rack dress slacks.
Phoebe wrinkled her nose in dissatisfaction. The puppy before her shouldn't be wearing something so readily available, something that was quickly made without putting any heart or soul into it. It could be that she was conditioned to seeing him in form-fitting designer clothes that looked like a second skin on him.
