Third person POV
Later, before 2 o'clock struck in the town's clock, it's time for Gregory to go to the town's academy, the notable Saint Andreas the Thunder Saint Academy. So, as Gregory boarded Russell's bus, the adventurers said thank you and goodbye to him for giving them some refreshments and snacks to fill their stomachs. "Yes, you're welcome, bye!" Gregory said to them before Russell would close the door and leave with him and his party. The bus left, and with that, the adventurers left to go to their homes in town to rest up after their recent journey across the Southern Plains.
A bit later, the bus arrived at the Saint Andreas the Thunder Saint Academy, a big school campus in town. Russell had managed to arrive there thanks to Gregory's direction. Gregory's home was just 3 blocks away from it, so walking was ideal for him. "Okay, we're here," Gregory said to Russell. "Thanks."
Opening the door, Russell responded positively, "Yup, you're welcome. By the way, today's ride for you is free."
"Come on, I'll pay," Gregory insisted while carrying his belongings. "How much?"
"Ah…okay. Only 3 silver coins or 4 copper coins, please."
Gregory paid 4 copper coins for this ride.
Right, here you go."
Receiving the payment and tossing it into his money box, Russell replied back, "Thanks."
Getting off, Gregory looked at them. "Hey, wanna check out the school before you guys leave?"
"Oh, sure!" Russell replied back.
"Yup!" Rai responded happily.
"It's not like we were busy every day," Russell added as well.
"Haha, very funny." Gregory chuckled a bit. "Park your bus somewhere appropriate, and I'll show you this school around."
Russell did so at an empty spot not too far from the school campus, and after getting off, Russell and his party went to the school to explore for a bit under Gregory's guidance.
Inside the school grounds, the party marveled at the school's nice and very rustic and dark academia interior as Gregory gave them a tour. Gregory explained that prior to his arrival into this world and getting a job as the academy's first physics teacher, the school was just ordinary and not that prestigious, as most people outside of Carelis would put it. But after his arrival into this world, he started to show and teach physics knowledge and contraptions that benefited many people in their daily lives. Because of this, the school offered a position of being the academy's first physics teacher. Wanting to spread his positive and ethical influence on the education system, Gregory accepted it in just 2 weeks after his reincarnation into this world. And ever since then, he had been working there with a good, fixed, monthly salary that allowed him to settle down in this town and build a house for himself. Gregory also said that upon being reincarnated into this world after dying in a car accident in the State of Nevada back in his previous life, he found himself in a place called Batela and immediately fled that country after finding out that it persecutes and hunts Otherworlders like him. So, after he had settled here in Carelis, showed his physics knowledge trade, and accepted a job offer in its academy, Gregory had been unknowingly promoting the town to attract more students from far and wide, within the Zale Valley's borders and abroad, to come to the academy and study there, especially under his physics and health classes.
After Gregory's summarized storytelling, Russell and his party were amazed and felt sorry for his death in his previous life. But Gregory said to them, "That's fine, my friends. I am now living a good life here."
"Wow, good," responded Russell while being happy for him. "I had moved on and adapted here so well."
"That's good, Russell, it seemed that you enjoyed your life as a bus driver in this world, as well as someone who was called the Bus Driver Hero."
"Oh, come on. That one was just merely a fruit of my good heroism, not the main purpose of my life in this world. At the end of the day, I am just a bus driver who wanted to live a regular, normal life."
"Ah, okay, got it…"
After a bit, all of them arrived at Gregory's classroom, and Gregory said to them, "This is my class for today." Russell and his party then looked at the students, who were sitting down doing stuff while waiting for their teacher Gregory to come and begin their class, through a window on the wall. "Oh…" Ria responded while gazing at the kids clad in their academy uniforms.
"Yup, my class has 4 periods every weekday because there were many students who wanted to learn my trade," Gregory responded back at them. "This is Period 4 for this afternoon, as well as another period for my Health Class this 3 o'clock in the afternoon."
Russell and his party then looked at him back.
"Wow…"
"So many students…"
"Yes," Gregory replied back. "Each period had approximately 20-30 students attending, so it's a lot of students to teach."
"Wow, that must've been so hard to keep up," Russell replied back.
"Nah, don't worry, I am fine."
Gregory then opened the door and entered the classroom, telling them that they could watch him do his lecture this afternoon.
Russell and his party accepted it, and Gregory closed the door, before settling in his desk and thus, beginning his lecture for his period of students for this afternoon. As Gregory gave out his lecture, Russell and his party watched from the corridor through the window. But then, one student, a son of a noble, was throwing balled-up pieces of paper at an elf boy in front of him while snickering mischievously. But then, Gregory noticed that and eventually decided to punish him by making him stand and define one of the keywords for today's topic in physics. The keyword the boy had to define was friction, which the noble boy had a hard time defining while standing up in front of his classmates. After the boy struggled a few times, the class murmured and snickered towards each other for being a bit dumb, and Gregory eventually declared timeout to him and gave up to him and everyone in the class the true definition of friction, much to the embarrassment of the rich, bullying boy.
