Third person POV
Not long after, Brygida was arrested by the city guards for attempted murder, witchcraft using forbidden magic, and power harassment. The school also fired her and filed criminal charges against her, especially after discovering her demonic ritual set up in the empty classroom on the third floor of the main school building. Later, in the afternoon, Janet, Russell, and the others testified against her in court, and as a result, Brygida was convicted of 27 charges of the aforementioned criminal offenses. Furthermore, it was revealed that Brygida was not a human at all; she was a demon from the Northern Territory, much to the shock of Russell and everyone else in court. So, Brygida was imprisoned not just for her crimes, but also, for being an illegal demon who managed to get a job at the Saint Tadeo Academy by disguising herself as a human, adding Illegal Impersonation to her list of crimes. Furthermore, it was revealed that she had that job for over 6 years without anyone noticing her true identity, and before her imprisonment, Brygida smugly confessed that she had that job as a senior professor in order to turn the academy into a magical fortress for the Northern Territory's future invasion of the Southern Territory, which includes the Southern Plains, Batela, the Zale Valleys, among others. So, she was charged with conspiracy as well, adding it to her list her crimes, and her prison sentence was turned into a death penalty that will happen after her prison sentence.
But, all of these are just a ruse because, at the Archives Library of Garion City, which was just next to the Saint Tadeo Academy, the third Forbidden Fragment of Darkness, which was concealed in a glass display, was stolen by a demon soldier while most of the library's staff members were at the court watching the trial of Brygida. Because of this, the third fragment was stolen, and the demon soldier who stole it fled the area and the city fast before anyone noticed that. But it was noticed 3 hours later, and the library staff and owner filed a report to the city authorities, who then commanded a wide search. The authorities did that because they feared that the Fragment would be used for the breaking of the seal that bound Malarka.
